What travelers are saying
- Phil SBalbriggan, Ireland8 contributionsBeautiful place. Stunning views of the lake, lake tours available and plenty to see and do around the town. Excellent travel hub for investigation of surrounding areas.Written January 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - gafina03Manalapan, NJ68 contributionsThe views are amazing and unbelievable. A must do in Switzerland. Coming down the mountain by the cogwheel train was incredible.Written October 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Yann RenaudSwitzerland811 contributionsMont Rigi is a very famous spot of tourism in Switzerland. When you get there, you directly get to understand why. You drive up with a nice and comfortable train. Already during g the drive you get an amazing view over the lake. From the top, you have a 360° panorama, which is lovely.
If you feel like it, you can walk down on foot (the end is very, very steep, though). Otherwise, you can take the train back.
It's definitely a place to spend at least half a day.Written January 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Then inside the Glacier Garden is a collection of very different attractions. The best in our opinion was the hall of mirrors and the underground caverns. From the wooden observation tower, you get a great view of the city. Finally, be sure to go into the museum. There is a painting that comes alive when you walk past. It moves and talks. An unexpected surprise.Written November 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Simone180 contributionsWhat a beautiful place! Seemingly endless moors, craggy karst formations and wild unbridled mountain streams provide a very special experience.Written February 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - natahnataLitvinov, Czech Republic1 contributionIts amazing experience and its such a lovely place and you can take a walk from here to the city centre. - GrandTour602217Cambridge, UK9 contributionsVisited early August 2022. Most of the sculptures shown in previous reviewers’ photos were no longer there; we had a good look around but only found a couple of sculptures (large heart and angel).
Nevertheless, the view was a breathtaking introduction to Lucerne and we were glad to have visited. Nearby there are pleasant shaded forest walking tracks.Written August 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Easy to access it is a quiet stretch of grass and beach by Lake Lucerne complete with posing Greylag Geese! Seems popular with locals for relaxing and swimming.Written October 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Timothy BLucerne, Switzerland624 contributionsThe Parkbad Kleinfeld in Kriens, is a revamped outdoor swimming park. Out of sesaon it is a public park and in summer sesaon (May to September) it has three pools open to the paying public ( 7chf for adults and 4 chf for children). Set in a park with lying at the foot of mount Pilatus is a 50 meter swimming pool, a natural pool (no clorien) divided into two parts, 5 meter diving pool and a childrens' 'water park. In addition there is a large sports field, beach-volley ball, table-tennis and plenty of green space and trees to lie down. I have been coming here for years and find it a very civilised way to rest and go swimming (accept Sundays and public holidays when it is full)Written June 9, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CK1890Lincoln, UK67 contributionsWe came here for a quick swim after climbing a mountain and were not disappointed. A beautiful view of Lucerne in easy walk of the town centre. There are free toilets, lakeside showers and cafes in this area, everything you need for a relaxing few hours.Written September 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
