- groggery1London, UK321 contributionsWent up on the cable car, which was quick, efficient and provided great views. This is probably one of the few times in your trip to Tenerife that you will need a coat, and you will definitely need one. The cable car finishes 600m from the summit, but yo go to the top requires one of the few permits they distribute and you will need to plan in advance. There are some trails at the cable car stop, and some wonderful, rugged views to be had. A bit of a drive, but mostly through the beautiful national park, and seeing the traces of various eruptions is very interesting.Written March 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Viv E6 contributionsVast national park, so much to explore. The landscape is like being on a different planet.
There’s a museum, cable car, a local bus runs through the day carrying you from one side to another (several km’s). Well worth spending a day or two visiting.Written March 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Unfortunately, on one of the viewing platforms, the car doors were left unlocked and the cash from one of the passenger's handbags, which was left in the car, was missing. We discovered it immediately, because the car door was left open, but there was nothing we could do. Please be vigilant.Written March 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- twg49Oxfordshire, UK5 contributionsHighly informative and interesting. Something of geology, fluid dynamics, zoology, botany, entomology and history all in one trip with some amazing scenery and experiences. Mary our guide was highly articulate and knowledgeable. We have seen a lot of limestone caves before, this was the first lava tube. Would really like to see more of the system particularly level one but understand why this needs to be protected and left to the professionals. Many thanks.Written March 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ian PUnited Kingdom144 contributionsDon’t underestimate that this is a hard walk/hike and we are experienced walkers. It’s a great experience but the walk back up the gorge is brutal, 2:30 hrs to walk down and 3;45 hrs back up. We did the walk in mid March but I couldn’t imagine what it would be like in the summer. Parking is a big issue , most of the parking is restricted to 2 hours , we had the last long stay space at 08:00. It’s all very well organised you are provided with helmets and you are counted in at the star and counted out at the end. There are also “rangers” in the gorge should you have any problemsWritten March 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - travellinman2009England201 contributionsThis part of Tenerife is very green and beautiful. The drive through this mountainous area is very attractive and there are numerous places to hike.
We drove through to the village of Chamorga at the end of the road and did a short hike from there. I wish I had known how attractive is was going to be because it would have been good to take one of the longer hikes but it was near the end of the day when we arrived there. Nonetheless, we enjoyed beautiful views on the short, steep hike we took from the village.Written January 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's well worth a visit but it's a long was down a lot of steep steps so it's not for the physically challenged.Written November 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Freedom470101823802 contributionsFabulous trip to Mount teide long way up but disappointed that we couldn't actually go to the very top, you needed a certificate from the local authority which has to be applied for months in advance, but still a very worthy experienceWritten March 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sara L2 contributionsWe played 2 rooms last visit and they are amongst the best quality we have played. Atmospheric with diverse puzzles to work through, and not all about codes and padlocks as some can be. Game hosts provide just enough hints to keep you going without removing the challenge.Written March 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MatjeBratislava, Slovakia3 contributionsThis place made me happy. If you want to be safely slapped by huge waves, stop looking anymore! Beautiful views by the way. Mainly at the sunset. Ocean slap with nice scenery.Written March 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Anonymister_SurreyLondon, UK3,346 contributionsTurned up with my son without booking, they happy to accommodate with zero issue, 10 minute wait time to get onto track
We had a drink from the bar and sat out on the terrace to watch someone racing around. Bar is expensive.
Brought to carts, provided helmets and hairnets and when in car they started providing instructions with helmets on while motorbikes racing around.
Maybe a need to make more visual as assummes no language barrier.
We got 12 minutes around and clearly my son who carries a bit less weight was quicker, my excuse and sticking to it.
We both enjoyed the carts and the track, then afterwards had another drink while we watch motorbikes and another race.
It was probably slightly overpriced but it was a thing to do on Tenerife and likely we would do again.
Timing was probably right as sons arms ached all evening as not used to driving.
Felt a bit in and out with zero attempt to engage or encourage a revisit, half price voucher for return with 7 days and likely we would have come back.
Next time we would probably go for the fastest Karts if we returned.Written June 20, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I could see the path half way up but it’s a bit unclear. I followed a group of walkers in the end but when I first started out no one was around. The path is right in the middle so don’t follow the path down to the water go in the opposite direction. Good views but can be rocky on your feet esp coming down so make sure you have trainers/walking boots and water. I would recommend a buddie to walk with just incase you get lost.Written April 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
