- 4raylLondon, UK38 contributionsThe Gallery has developed a lot over the last year under the guidance of new management, focusing on new local artists. The mural on the front by WhirleyTimes is magnificent and reflects the energy of the gallery and island. Well worth a pit stop in santa cruz especially if you like artWritten April 12, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TracieW3 contributionsThis is an amazing art gallery featuring mostly artists from the Canary Islands. We had a tour of each of the rooms of the former grand house featuring art pieces relevant to the room: bedrooms, kitchen, stables, chapel. Excellent visit. - Maria RBrighton, England, United Kingdom42 contributionsVisiting Musa was a treat and well worth the effort involved in locating it! It is a shame that the owners are not allowed to advertise its location inside the hotel, but I was glad we persevered with our search as the gallery contained some really lovely pieces and we had an informative talk with artist Yaron Lambez who was friendly and welcoming.Written February 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RLBCopenhagen, Denmark9 contributionsReally nice, contemporary art gallery on a cosy side street near the Garcia Sanabria City Park. If you're in Santa Cruz and you like art, swing by. Don't forget to ask about the "Flat Files". I was surprised to see so many different types of art and artists represented by the gallery and the price points were accessible. It's helpful that they speak English and Spanish. They also sell art books. A few nice cafes are nearby if you want to spend a few hours in the area.Written March 4, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DR SEETBournemouth, UK249 contributionsThis is a gem of an art gallery managed and curated by a very congenial and knowledgeable owner called Frasco Pinto Pomares, who is trained in fine arts, aesthetics and art theory and who inherited the gallery from his father. Frasco's impeccable taste and discerning eye for good art can be seen in the artists he represents and showcases - when i visited, an exhibition of Roberto Diago, the visionary and much celebrated Cuban artist, was on. Frasco's gallery also carries works by emerging and collectible Canarian artists, both young talents and renowned masters. Instead of buying tourist kitsch and tacky souvenirs, pop by at Galeria Artizar, chat with Frasco and buy a painting which will give much visual pleasure as well as becoming a sound financial investment in years to come.Written May 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Duncan S24 contributionsThis couple make, display and sell lovely pieces of art glass from their home in Arico Viejo, they sell from stock or will make to order. Prices vary from a little to a lot, as do the size of the pieces. They are all beautifully made and imaginatively designed. You can see a smaller range of their work at El Medano market on Saturdays. They are extremely friendly and welcoming. Very highly recommended.Written September 30, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - A K1 contributionOur 9 year old son and 8 year old daughter had an art workshop at this art gallery. Renata is a very kind, talented and highly professional instructor. The kids had a brilliant time given clear instructions and feedback as well as encouraged to develop their own creative approach. If you’re a family staying in Puerto de la Cruz then I highly recommend taking the workshop - the gallery is worth a visit if you’re time sensitiveWritten February 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
