The Pergamon Museum is the crown jewel of the outstanding collection of Berlin museums and it houses three fantastic reconstructed huge and beautiful historical marvels, the Pergamon Altar, the Ishtar Gate of Baby...
The other wonderful thing is that the Pergamon Museum is on Berlin's Museum Island which houses other wonderful museums like the Egypt Museum (which has the beautiful Head of Nefertiti sculpture), and the Berliner...

Found this museum on our last day in Berlin; weighed down by the immense history and seriousness of the museums we had been to, this was a quirky collection of 'toot' cleverly and thought-provokingly arranged by t...
Really recommend for people who are tired from art galleries, archeology and science museums.

It's a free museum, and right across from amazing street art as well, so it is a spot definitely worth checking out!
This museum plus the Silent Hero Museum tell the stories of the hero's - big and little - who helped to save so many Jews from the camps.

We have enjoyed history museums across Europe and North America and the German History Museum definitely ranks up in the Pantheon of great history museums.
German Historical Museum (GHM) or Deutsches Museum stands among the great names of museums in the world - it is very close being on par with British Museum, which is perhaps the greatest history museum in the world.

A UNESCO World Heritage site, Berlin's Museum Island, built on a small island in the Spree River, is home to a unique ensemble of five temple-like museums - it was designed as a modern Roman Forum and includes the...
The world-class neo-classical history and art museums located together on Museum Island, in landscaped gardens alongside the Berlin Cathedral and the river, are definitely worth visiting.

In our opinion, this is one of the best Egyptian displays outside of the Cairo and Luxor museums with a large collection ranging from very early dynasties through to Coptic and late dynasties.
The building itself is outstanding and located on Museum Island which is well worth a visit in its own right with it great museums and the Cathedral.

You have to book in advance at htis private Modern Art museum, but in the low season you might get lucky while in town for a few days.
The next day, we had the greatest tour in the most impressive museum all time.

I have been to some of the best natural history museums around the world but this one in particular houses some of the most beautiful and complete collections of specimens that I have ever seen.
Definitely one of the best museums I have ever had the pleasure of visiting and for under €10 it's a bargain.

Pretty much one of the weirdest museums I've ever seen!
This is a really interesting and well set out museum with a free audio guide, showing detailed plasticised specimens of human and animal bodies and organs.

Biedermeier, Impressionist and early Modernist artwork, It is highly recommended to buy a day pass which allows access to all museums on Museum Island.
After all the lines, crowds and monumental ancient things at the Pergamon and Neues Museums, this Museum Island museum offers a refreshing change of pace.

One should take the time to stop at this location as they are on the way to the many Museums along Unter den Linden.
Right at the Unter den Linden Boulevard, sided by the Deutsches Historisches Museum and in front of the Staatsoper, you'll find the "Central Memorial of the Federal Republic of Germany for the Victims of War and D...

Honestly of all the museums I went to on my trip to Germany, this little one was the most informative and worthwhile.
The Anne Frank Zentrum is a lovely little museum commemorating the life and story of Anne Frank.

Very unconventional museum, totally worthy during the open night of museums, kids really enjoyed and appreciated a lot the show of recent past history of Germany.
I like small museums such as the Little Museum of Dublin in my home town (which also features a Trapani) so the criticisms of its size in some reviews were a plus for me.

Museums, exhibitions, theaters, cinemas, etc.. THE GATE Berlin is all of that.
This is a small museum which has a 20 minute multimedia show about some of the history of the Brandenburg Gate, and an exhibition room with information and photos.

If you want to more about the history of Berlin post war, this museum provides an interesting perspective on the key role of Willy Brandt.
We stumbled across this free exhibition after visiting the DDR museum and it was a really good view of his life and achievements.

It is convenient to other Checkpoint Charlie museums and Wall exhibits but this has class and real videos from those who lived there during the time.

One of my favourite museums all over the world!
You absolutely allowed to shoot pictures with all statues!! Make sure you set a proper exposure on your smartphone, while you take pictures, it's a museum and you need to take into account its specific lighting.

If I could visit just two museums in Berlin, this would be the second after the Pergamon.
Very rich in historical Roman style art and located at the heart of museum island, this is a must see attraction.

This place is a true, living museum of street art.
A couple of museums in the courtyard which we didn't have time to visit but just a wander and especially a look in the stairwell leading to the gallery is well worthwhile.

On the other side, there is a unique view of Unter Den Linden right down to the Brandenburg Gate together with great views of the Lustgarten/Museum Island & the Berliner Dom.
The panoramic view over Lustgarten, having the Berlin Dom on the right side and Alted Museum straight ahead is amazing.

Meandering through corridors and up the many stairs there are additional floors housing a museum which shows a variety of models of the church over the years.
We visited this building expecting a church, but instead there was a large museum on the history of Germany.
