Just avoid touristic areas: they are expensive, specially restaurants. Back street restaurants are just as good as are cheaper hotels. Try the Jean Bart hotel in the 6th district close to the Luxembourg Gardens, great if you travel with children.

There is nothing like the Louvre. It is a must see while in Paris. However, there were 4 of us in our group and all of us are savvy travelers, with many years of education and experiences. I would say that the time we spent on trying to make use of the audio set that we each paid $12 for was ridiculous and a huge waste of money. We spent way too much of our time in the museum looking at the audio and trying to find info about the artifacts then at the actual items in the museum. We would definitely would NOT get the audio again!

It was ok. Not much to ser since it’s still under reconstruction from the fire in 2019 but still a cool thing to see. Impressed with the building in general.

All it’s cracked up to be and more, truly great piece of architecture, great views from the top and watching the traffic going around is an attraction in itself, a must see

Beautiful monument and is deffinitley worth the visit
Be prepared for the climb and steps but there is trams at the bottom that go up and down and was €2.15 per trip! Bit pricey to be honest only on it for a minute or less.
I have visited the church before but I found it very pricey this time? Was nearly €40 so just heads up. It is worth it dont get me wrong but did find it pricey

This is a gorgeous cathedral and has always been one of my favorites in Paris. However, with Notre Dame being closed, the lines to get in here have gotten out of control. You must buy a ticket in advance! If you did not and are reading this review standing in a long “no ticket line” then I have a tip for you! Go next door to the Conciergerie and buy a “combo ticket” for both attractions. Then you can go back to the Chapelle and enter straight away (or with whatever time slot is being allowed to go in). It’s a massive loop hole and worked like a charm for me. The Conciergerie is also a nice attraction and worth seeing as well so be sure to see both - especially if you paid for it!

That being said, once your ticket is checked for the Chapelle you still have to go through security which is a massive pain and is a different unavoidable line. Lots of attractions in Paris have intense security but something about this one is terribly inefficient and slow. It needs to be addressed by management.

We stayed in Montemartre as we did Paris centre a few years ago and wanted an alternative Paris this time.
    Montmartre delivers!
Fabulous area to wander with lovely little streets, cafes and shops as well as some great sightseeing.
Has more of a village feel but is a busy little hub of activity. Perfect for a Paris stay.

A beautiful bridge, rain or shine. On overcast days the gold stands out even more. Ample photo opportunities. If you’re only going to visit one bridge, make this that one

We had a fabulous 2 1/2 hour walking tour in Le Marais with Viator’s tour guide, Ugo.

Ugo has a post graduate degree in history and speaks many languages. His love of history really enlivens your tour.

He found our interests and focused what we saw and learned based on them.

He’s personable, engaging, and very well educated.

We are an elderly couple and he paced us at an easy-to-walk rate, incorporating having us sit and learn a couple of times.

Having a private tour geared to what interested us was an excellent choice and Ugo made it happen.

Built by Henri IV as a harmonious development for the well-to-do. The gorgeous square has never lost its panache. The sides match, the fountains flow, and even in cold weather, lots of people come here to enjoy, or to shop or eat under the arcades. Some nice hotels here, and Victor Hugo's house. It always takes my breath away.

Lots of religious buildings here, some museums and some pretty little parks. It has evolved into an upscale neighborhood with great shopping and eating. Good place to look for antiques, but beware, prices can be high. Also the HQ of the publishing industry in France. Take a guided tour, like we did.

It’s very busy, even in the middle of winter. Some exteriors, such as LV, are very impressive. Not necessarily a good place to shop for the “average” person, but worth a look.

This Paris landmark was amazing! Highly recommended. We went alone but happily stumbled upon Raphael, a private guide who knows every square inch and every historical and hysterical fact about the cemetery’s interred. He led us around and made our visit incredibly memorable. (That’s him on the left)

Latin Quarter amazing and close to everything, such as Notre Dame and the Louvre, great Hotel and everything within walking distance or near to the
Subway (be aware the subways are excellent but haze no escalators, only stairs.)
Would go again in a heart beat
