We visited this bar on our honeymoon because it is the oldest gay bar in Paris. The place was crowded when we arrived, and it was packed. The place is very small so it doesn't take a lot of people to make it crowded. The drinks themselves were made well, and were priced ok from our experiences in Paris bars. The patrons are what make the place so special. After only a few minutes with our drinks, we no longer felt like tourists, but felt as if we were in our own neighborhood bar meeting new friends. The bartender could not speak English, but everyone in the bar was eager to help us order and most everyone we met spoke great english. Fun night in a gay bar in paris!

Unless you want a woman who looks like Judith Butler to yell at you and charge you to use the bathroom, don't bother. It is honestly a shame to be writing this review because as a gay woman, I am always looking for a welcoming environment to go to with my friends and I have been to many lesbian bars in my day. Welcoming is the last adjective I would use to describe this place. And, not realizing that my friend spoke French, the bartender and her friend began mocking our English in front of us. A disgrace to the lesbian community, truly. Find somewhere else, I cannot stress this enough.

I met Michele in Australia a few years ago. She traveled to my city for the Sydney Mardi Gras. Little did she know she was going to spend one of her first few nights in Aus with a married heterosexual Latin boy from the Sydney suburbs.

No matter what, we struck an awesome friendship which came back alive when I had the chance to visit her at Pulp a few years later in 2005. I went to see my friend, and there she was - welcoming and warm as ever. She was super busy (MTV Europe was filming at her club the night I turned up) but stopped to say hello and say I could have all the champagne I wanted.

I had a superb night. The scene, music, atmosphere were amazing. Specially tonight, when Paris is under the shadow of violence, it's important to remember Paris and Pulp are a place of tolerance and love. Hope you are well Ms Cassano!

Had a brilliant 3 nights at this bar until now. The guy working Tonight with muscles and black top a arrogant and ignored person. So cheeky to me when asking a question. Because he doesn't speak English isn't a reason to be so cheeky. I would advise anyone to get any other member of staff to serve you. Total disgrace. Even other patrons seen what happened. 5 star otherwise.

Absolutely terrible club. I would avoid this place. Went here with my BF for NYE and it just felt trashy and predatory. The space is also very small and the music was basic.

THIS is an apartment house. Not a bar. There must be a mistake in the address in this residential district. It was the home of a famous composer.

This place has the potential to be great. The bar staff are all great and the customers are a nice, attitude-free, friendly group of all ages. But on our second night there, a bar manager walked down the small spiral staircase next to the bar and dropped a glass onto the floor, breaking it and showering everyone in whatever liquid was inside and fragments of broken glass. Instead of apologising he got frustrated with customers for not immediately moving and literally physically shoved us away from the spillage area so he could mop up the mess. Would have been nice if he had apologised for wetting everyone or for all the broken glass over the floor but I guess he was embarrassed and just got really angry with himself instead. A pity.
