We had a private ski lesson with Suzanne. She did a great job of introducing our children to skiing (and reminding us!) with lots of humour and clear instruction. She really progressed us at the right pace and we came away feeling much more confident and ready for our ski holiday! The children loved it and it was an ideal introduction - well worth the money.

A really fun first experience at an escape room. Went with our 14 year old twins. They were definitely better than us and we only just escaped with 45 seconds to spare. The staff were helpful and friendly and made it a good experience from start to end. We did the Pirate Room, it was well done and great fun.

I was too busy enjoying the mobility scooter trail around the many joys of the park to bother digging out my mobile to take photos

First trip to this place today, I went to see Mike and the shooting range.
I had ordered a new Air Arms S510 tactical over the phone. Mike placed the order and my new rifle arrived the following day.
I had never been there before but they offered a price match on the rifles sold from here which was appealing.
Received a call in the morning from Mike saying my rifle had arrived, so made my way over.

I was greeted by Mike as soon as I walked through the door, he’s a very friendly, polite and knowledgeable fella.
I gave him a few bits to go on the rifle and he was more than happy to put it all together and get the rifle setup and ready to shoot.
Nothing was too much for him and I cannot praise his service more highly.
After getting the rifle sorted, he took me through to the rifle range, sat down, zeroed the scope for me, showed me how to use it, load and unload etc etc.
This fella in my opinion gives probably the best customer service I have ever received on a purchase. You think M&S have good services… pfft!

After getting me setup, he showed me how to use the ranges target electronic system and then he left me to it.

I was loving the rifle and ease of use of the range!

Periodically Mike stuck his head through the door to see how I was getting on, which was a really nice touch, just incase I was having an issue, although I wasn’t, I knew if I did have a problem I could just ask him.

After firing off a number of mags, he stuck his head in again, then I told him I think I need more air.
He showed me exactly how to fill the rifle, what to use and what to look out for when doing it.
Nothing was too much trouble for him whatsoever!
    Top man!

Definitely looking forward to becoming a regular at this range and maybe in the summer months, jumping on a lake or 2 for some fishing.

Tea, coffee, fizzy drinks, chocolate bars, pellets and a full tackle shop…
    They have it all!
And most importantly on a cold day… Heaters!!

Visit this place! You won’t be disappointed if shooting or fishing is your thing.

    Thanks again Mike

I have been going to Emberton Park since the late 60's. I shall keep returning for camping but on the last visit they had blocked off vehicle access to half of the overall perimeter which disappointed me as I like to stop with the camper on the far side by the River Ouse. My other complaint is that the lakes are now far too overgrown with trees etc which obstructs past lovely views and causes more lake algae.

Lovely area to stroll around. Also recommend going on one of the guided walking tours - more to it than meets the eye. Love having the canal also.

Been here a couple times, but only visited the floodplain nature reserve side of the park recently. It was a lovely place for a walk; was so surprised we hadn't been before since we've lived in MK for years and been to most lakes/parks/forests.

The east side is much nicer than the west side, in my opinion, but overall nice place for countryside air.

Linford Lakes has had an odd history - the lakes created by gravel workings have been used as research centre by Game Conservancy and then and environmental education centre. Now managed by the Milton Keynes Parks Trust, the site can be accessed by permit. As well as large lakes, there are areas of wet woodland and meadows. On our visit we were very fortunate to get several good views of a kingfisher, as well as little egret, wigeon, teal, tufted duck and many woodland birds.

The annual permits cost £20-30 per year and you can visit as often as you like. The permit gives users the code which allows access to the bird hides. The site is relatively flat, but most of the paths are not surfaced. It takes about half a day to fully explore. A visit could be combined with other green spaces nearby, such has the wonderfully refurbished Great Linford Manor Park and canal.

Note there are no facilities - including toilets at the reserve. There is a Costa coffee in the shopping area in Great Linford. Even closer the Black Lion pub is opposite the access road to the the reserve and makes a great lunch spot.

A lovely nature reserve, it's been returned to nature after being used for the building of the City. It is so peaceful, the wildlife is good, one of the least known parks in MK
