A group of family and friends visiting Ireland took a day trip from Dublin to see the ruins and tombs. We took the tour which lets you inside Newgrange and walk on top of Knowth. We loved getting to learn the history of Ireland and this UNESCO site, and the views were incredible. Make sure to book 30 days in advance, as they sell out fast. The tour of the sites is mainly outside, so dress for the weather. We would highly recommend this lesser known attraction to anyone as a stop on an Ireland holiday.

Great views. Very informative guide - Margaret is a treasure. She is brilliant. Knows the history of Trim Castle and gets everyone involved and interested. This is worth a visit and costs less than €5

Well worth a visit, Took the kids so thought it might be a drag but they loved it. No complaints. Lovely walk across river to bus and only a few people as limited numbers so no crowds. Book in advance obviously- well in advance. Tour was well timed and site was amazing, tour guide v informed. could have stayed for more.

We had a brilliant day out as a family. The only reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars is down to the coffee. They should really invest in better coffee - we bought 6 coffees from their machine in the ice cream parlor and we had to return them because we thought there was something wrong with the machine. We got a full refund and later bought more coffees at the restaurant - but they tasted the same. A real disappoint but so easily fixed. Hoping next time we go we can enjoy walking around with a lovely coffee in hand!

We took our two boys to the museum on a wet Saturday afternoon. We ended up spending a few hours there and the boys really enjoyed it. The team were very knowledgeable and accommodating. They were great help and explained the history of the various weapons, uniforms and vehicles on display. We will certainly be back in May for the outdoor show.

I went here on a hike/walk with my husband and kids, we are currently staying in a yurt in the Loughcrew megalithic site.
We drove up because it was raining heavily but it eventually stopped and we began walking.

Lovely views from the top and a very kind tour guide answered all our questions☺️ Sadly I didn't get his name.

It was a steep but me and my family do plenty of hiking do it was enjoyable 😁

Amazing place to go sightseeing and it was very fun for the kids aswell

100% recommend and we will be back down 👍

A huge Thank You & Well Done to Causey Farm for a spectacular Causey Christmas Farm. Wow, what a fabulous event. We visited recently and were blown away by the sheer spectacle of the event. We loved Santa's hi tec control centre, Mrs Claus' house, the fabulous nativity scene with the amazing donkey & animals, the hall of mirrors, the snowball alley & the friendliest horse we've ever met, even the new baby piglets were stars. Both adults & children loved every minute and we were so impressed with the friendliest & most helpful elves in the North Pole. Every detail had been considered which made the experience so personal. Merry Christmas Causey Farm & Well Done. 🎅⛄🤶☃️♥️

We had a lovely time on the Slane whiskey tour. Great for locals as well as tourists.

Our tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and passionate about the estate, its history, music and sustainability program.

Went for a drive today and decide to go to Slane and where is better to visit than the famous Slane Castle, home of Lord Montcharles and his family and venue for many famous music concerts over the years. The Slane Distillery is there too and you can do the distillery tour, which we have not done yet. We had coffee in the bar and a lovely walk in the grounds.

I was blown away by Knowth! Like others have said, I also found it more interesting than Newgrange.
The guide was great- so much knowledge!
I could have spent longer here- it was so fascinating! And the surrounding countryside was beautiful!

I have been to Oldbridge several times over the years but was delighted to come back for the first time in a long while recently when showing visitors to rhe country around.
Lovely gardens and the museum itself, though small, is very interesting.
The laser re-enaction of the Battle of the Boyne is excellent. The video is the auditorium out the back is brilliant, make sure not to miss that.
The gardens behind the house are lovely, make sure to leave plenty of time for a wander through after your tour and film.

The Hill of Slane is very central to Slane village, drive up a steep hill to the carpark and the rest is a short walk up a steep hill. There is information about how St Patrick lit the first Easter bomb fire here and then a church and priory were built and the ruins are lovely to visit and the view is fantastic. We also visited the Littlewood forest up the road which was a nice 2.6km walk and Georges Patisserie nearby, highly recommended
