Beautiful nature reserve, very welcoming atmosphere with wonderful and passionate staff (Dave and Stuart, you really made our day!), amazing views and cutest pigs ever.
By buying a plot of land at Glencoe Wood, part of the Highland Titles Nature Reserve you are helping to preserve a huge area of woodland and all the trees and wildlife that it hosts.
Durness Beach Durness
#3 of 181 Nature & Parks in Scottish Highlands
The car par is a reasonable size and the overflow is in the golf club or cemetery car parks.
There's a good car park and some great shops.
Oldshoremore Beach Kinlochbervie

Well worth the detour from the North Coast 500, with public toilet facilities and car park within 100 yards of the beach it's easily a place you could pass an hour or two as the views are stunning.
A lovely sandy beach just a short walk and a few steps from the car park.

We took a nature walk to the loch with the rangers pointing out flora and fauna, learned about the history and mission of the field centre and enjoyed a delicious lunch.
I stayed in rustic, comfortable en suite log cabin in the grounds of the estate, you really felt close to nature.
Lost Valley Trail Glencoe Village
#10 of 181 Nature & Parks in Scottish Highlands
The reward is a beautiful piece of nature, from the small river that you walk along most of the time (and through, once) to the lost valley itself: a sheltered, magical place.
The path is easy to follow - park in the large car park half way up the glen and head from there down towards the floor of the glen, heading north/towards Glasgow, and cross the bridge over the gorge.
