The building looks quite modern from the outside but is actually Victorian with modern extensions so I wasn’t really sure what to expect inside. When you enter, it’s into the modern part with seating areas, bars and cafes and a big spiral staircase. It looks brand new and is really plush with quality carpets and furniture.

Then when you enter the theatre itself, it’s back to the Victorian style but all nicely decorated and comfortable. London theatres are unbelievably shabby in comparison to this! The boxes with the dome shaped roof and the carved wooden elephant heads make it look like the set of Moulin Rouge!

My seat was up in the Gods but it was still really comfortable up there and despite saying restricted view on my ticket, it wasn’t restricted at all and the view of the stage and into the pit was actually amazing! I had a much better view than I did sitting near the front in other theatres.

Sound quality was excellent too. Staff are warm and friendly from the box office staff to the ushers. I really enjoyed my visit to this theatre.

What can I say......My friend and I visited the info centre every day, for a week, looking up trains, buses and general information. I have to say, Belfast is a very confusing city, so their help was very much appreciated.
    I thank you.

The Cornmarket area has a good selection of shops in Belfast offering a wide variety of shops - some brands and some independent.

The Scottish Provident Institute is a great looking building that's one of the most eye catching in Belfast.
Constructed between 1897-1902 ,its a building that bridges the Victorian era and Edwardian era ,the facade is stunning, its dominates Donegall Square, its such a highly photogenic building that's most definitely well worth a few minutes of your time if you're in the area or planning a holiday to Belfast.

Obviously, it’s only as exciting as a small statue can be, but it’s a pleasant sight. It’s very close to The Crown Liquor Saloon (a popular tourist attraction), so it’s worth seeing if you’re in the area.

We stumbled across this little gem on our first day in Belfast. Firstly, the member of staff in the cafe was so helpful...giving us tips about where to visit while we were in town. The food and cuppa were lovely. The museum was interesting but sadly some of the interactive equipment needed updating/repairing

The Lagan weir is a series of massive steel barriers which are used to keep the River Lagan at an artificially constant level during low tide. Otherwise the river mudflats are exposed and were considered unsightly as well as emitted a strong odour, particularly in the summer months.

This engineering marvel also supports a lovely steel and glass bridge over the river. On a clear day, there's great views of the River.

A lovely building which I know not what it is for. Religious artifacts at one doorway, is it open to the public? what happens there? So i just admire the craftmanship of the building.

We stumbled upon this wonderful fountain while taking a stroll through downtown, The detail and craftsmanship were incredible. It was lovely to see everything on the fountain and made me do wee bit of research.
I think the bus tours should put this on the route just a drive by point of interest.

This place has seen better days. The Dublin road has a few good places but the rest of the Golden Mile has deteriorated over the years. I spent quite a few nights in this area in my younger years but it can be quite dodgy in some parts now. The Cathedral Quarter has become the area to head to now. How times have changed.

Great little comedy venue and very well known in Belfast so something to add to your list if you’re visiting. The comics on the night, in my opinion, weren’t hugely funny. There were moments that were good but no real stand out comic so maybe we were unlucky… although the locals seemed to be enjoying themselves so maybe they could relate more. The compère was good though and overall was a good night.
I was really gutted not to get seated tickets, so I would advise you book in advance if you want a seat, especially if you’re a tourist and will have spent all day walking! We were really lucky as a lovely girl who worked there very kindly seated us in some seats that were available from no-shows! We were very grateful!!!

Friendly, efficient service. I would describe the menu as good pub grub - nothing fancy but was well cooked, tasty and good value. There was a nice atmosphere in the bistro. I am coeliac and was very well catered for.

Belfast was a a city of special interest to us during our recent trip to Northern Ireland, as we had seen films and read books about the Troubles. Bobby Walsh was our guide. As we drove and walked through the areas where so much had happened the history came alive for us as he had grown up during the time of the Troubles and could give personal anecdotes. We highly recommend his services.
