Modern, well equipped ferry with very friendly and helpful staff. We took advantage of the pet lounge and are very happy we did.
For just an extra £15 you get comfortable, air conditioned seating and complimentary hot drinks including coffee with freshly ground beans.
Top tip; the air conditioning in the pet lounge is set on the cooler side for the benefit of the doggies, so take a fleece.

Very good crossing in my day trip to Belfast, sadly I haven’t been on a ferry in years & never thought they’d have discounts in children’s hols, so i paid a lot more than £19 return. Until someone on the ferry told me about the discounts. All the staff i’ve met on both legs were really friendly & helpful. I treated myself to Stena plus on the way back, nice snacks, treats & wine.

The sailing was fine (Liverpool - Belfast), and the ship being only 2 years old was still in that new condition. It was our first time on the ferry and wasn't a bad overall experience, but it did have some notable negatives.

The deboarding took on foot passengers an extra 50 minutes from after the cars had left due to there being a single decker bus to get passengers from the ferry to the terminal and there was enough people for 5-6 single decker buses, this was a shambles and no one told us what to do or where to go, and we had to be out of the Cabin 30 minutes before arriving in Belfast too so had to go find somewhere to sit.

The TASTE restaurant was very expensive for what you got and the staff were not happy to be there at all. it was £2.75 for a normal bottle of Pepsi.

Not ID Checks and very limited security checks, which caused a bit of security concerns for our 9 hour journey.

The wifi on board was super slow and doesn't work in the cabins including the paid services. You get around 250Kbps up and 150Kbps down.

Unless you NEED to go by boat, id recommend flying unless the you have bags, as we took to large suitcases with us with our hand luggage at no extra cost.

Anyone taking a one way or round trip from Belfast Northern Ireland to Glasgow Scotland should consider taking the Hannon Coach service. The motor coach picks you up at the Europa Bus Station in Belfast. It comfortably transports you and your luggage via the Stena Ferry to Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station. You are able to enjoy the views of coast, small towns and countryside while someone else takes care of the driving. The coach drivers are very skilled in safely navigating the roads. This option is so worthwhile for anyone who wants an alternative to flying between the two cities.

We worked with this organization under the name of Prestige Tours. We cannot say enough good things about every aspect of our experience with Prestige Tours. Prior to our arrival in Ireland, Michelle was helpful and responsive to our every question and concern. And our driver Peter was simply a delight! He was friendly, thoughtful, and incredibly well informed. It was clear he took great pleasure in sharing his beautiful country with us and we were delighted with his stories, his professionalism, and the fact that he seemed to know everyone in Ireland! He lived up to all the reports of the friendliness, humor, and joy of life of the Irish. We added something to our plans at the last minute and he was great about setting up the new activity and rearranging our itinerary to accommodate this change. We feel like we have a new best friend in Ireland! If you want to really experience all the best of your trip to Ireland, we highly recommend Prestige Tours! We will be calling them again.

Our Belfast chauffeur Francis... what a friendly and pleasant man! He made us feel welcomed and he was so helpful. He told us the history of Ireland and showed us some sites. He explained how the money worked.. where to go and where not to go. Thank you Francis!

Hugh our driver was great, very informative and factual without bias. Explained the troubles and other issues whilst having a positive attitude to where things are heading and acceptance for all parties. A lot of learning for us as we didn’t have much of an understanding of the history previously.
He also dropped us off downtown afterwards with a suggestion of where to wonder through to get a feel for the city - which was appreciated.
Would recommend as a tour to do for anyone coming to Belfast.

Fergus drove our family to the Giant's Causeway and also showed us around Belfast and the surrounding areas. The Mercedes bus was clean, comfortable, and spacious – and even included a mini refrigerator. Fergus was extremely knowledgable, kind, and funny. He really gave us a memorable day. And his wife picked us up from the airport the day before – super kind as well! A great experience all around. Highly recommend.

Lindsay was very amusing and informative, plenty of time to stop and see sights. If not into Game might find those stops a bit boring.

Our driver & guide, Geoff, was absolutely amazing! He picked us up from our cruiseship as agreed and provided a detailed tour along the Antrim Coast and Giant's Causeway including splendid Game of Thrones sights. He was an absolute pleasure to be with and so knowledge; giving us advice to get the most out of day. . A very memorable full day trip - highly recommended
