My husband and I booked a tour of the Grand Opera House. Our guide was Anna-Marie who was very knowledgeable and entertaining, she obviously loves her job and the building. The tour was very interesting and informative - it finished on the stage which gave us a new perspective of the theatre. We would highly recommend this tour.

'New Ireland' was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Absolutely their best show so far!
The Lyric is a lovely place.
Drinks are dear but not 'need a mortgage dear'.

I took my granddaughter to see rapunzel pantomime. I have to say the show was fantastic, she had a great time.

The popcorn 🍿 overpriced and soft drink. seeing adults drinking alcohol at a children's pantomime was surprising to me. The light up toys where £6.oo bit expensive as well.

In all she enjoyed herself .

Recently went to the Ulster Hall for an Abba Waterloo story evening and we had a great time. My only gripe is that when we arrived the bar downstairs was closed and we had to go upstairs. Lids are removed from bottles for 'health and safety' yet we where allowed to go back downstairs with drinks in our hands which to me seemed quite unsafe.

The open bottles also led to a lot of spillages. Two people in my close proximity's drinks went everywhere and the floor became really slippy.

I pop in and out to use toilets here and after reading brochures, decided to attend a play.
The staff are really nice and I enjoyed the Sam Cree play.
But being disabled with bad knees,I found it a very uncomfortable experience.
Two front row seats were reserved but they had board running along the front of the walk way area and the leg space was so small and if I tried to stretch out and rest my leg the board edge was sore on my leg.
Pity about this and obviously it is not designed for such disability.
But I plan to go back again. Toilets are clean and there is a coffee shop which opens during daytime.

Just home from the beautiful game .
    Amazing .
All the actors were great and the theatre small and cosy.
    What a wonderful story ......

I went to the Duncairn for a gig - John Spillane and Lisa Loughrey. The venue is beautiful and the sound was great (owing to natural acoustics and sound engineer I imagine).

The gig was the best I have been to in years. John Spillane is well established and his faithful followers in Belfast came out in force. Lisa Loughrey had her debut Belfast gig. Lisa and John (and Lisa’s band) also did a number of songs together at the end. It turned into a mini impromptu session.

The crowd were satisfied and the venue allowed guests to make their way out slowly so that they could chat with friends and meet the artists.

Above all- I was most impressed with how the acts were treated by the staff. They were well looked after and not at all taken for granted. Lisa Loughrey is new to the North, but that did not change how the Duncairn event organisers treated her and her band.

Dublin venues stand to learn a lot from the lovely Duncairn.

It was well worth the trip up from Dublin. I look forward to my next trip up to the Duncairn!

Visited last week while staying in Belfast, to see Bone machine.

Didn’t particularly enjoy the gig but loved the venue, small & perfect for live music.

Located in the Cathedral Quarter this is 2 venues in one: The Green Room & The Black Box.

Staff were great, bar & security, and I’d be happy to see more music here.

An excellently run, cosy, and friendly comedy club. Would class myself as a "regular" and rarely disappointed. Sometimes you get the bigger names of the NI circuit, sometimes you get the fresh up and coming acts so yoiu can say "I was there when they started".

If you keep an eye out for Mr Firehorse, he is one of the best MCs about, and of course, Mr Rafflehorse is an absolute gent.

Do yourself a favour, ditch Corrie, and come here on a Monday night

We had a lovely evening in the quirky and intimate Little theatre last Saturday night for Trevor Gill’s wonderful one man performance of Dean & the devil.
We had previously seen a great modern day Macbeth performance last year and the theatre itself has been refurbished since then with lots of scope for further expansion. The bright umbrella crew have a great offering of plays, music and productions coming up over the next while. Highly recommend this gem in the heart of East Belfast.

Have been coming here on and off for a good few years, most of the time its quite good if enot even better. Colin Murphy is my favourite host and I'd come to watch him alone. Sorry that sounded a bit creepy! But hes really good. They have some great acts on too be it local or visiting from Dublin or England. The best thing to do in Belfast on a Tuesday night for sure though
