- SteveodoCarrickfergus, UK5,744 contributionsThis art gallery is free to enter. I called in with friends. Lots of rooms with paintings by different artists. Two sculptures really intrigued me. One artist had made these bizarre tubular, long legged dogs (see photo). They were textured and coloured like beagles, but were so surprisingly contorted. Elsewhere someone clever had woven, crochet-style, two balaclavas. They're normally black and menacing, covering the faces of paramilitaries, so this was a startling culture clash - the brutal meets the delicate, force meets finesse. Very interesting. I like to take note of artists' names, but we only arrived near closing time, and had to hurry on.
