- 640clareGlasgow, UK40 contributionsWe stumbled upon this church by accident and thought we’d go in for a nosey. What a stunning church inside......and so peaceful! A lovely spot to sit and reflect in the beautiful ambience of the church. Don’t go past!Written 14 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jaffathecat1oxford510 contributionsCathedrals aren't for everyone but this relatively modern church is well worth a detour to visit. The unusual spike like spire built of steel was incorporated so as not to weigh the building down, putting pressure on its less than firm foundations! It rather resembles a dagger being suspended over the pulpit & congregation! An accident of design or subliminal religious symbolism?!Written 8 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - timfoggoStroud, UK36 contributionsIf you want to explore the Belfast dockside and visit some of the few remaining old buildings then seek out St. Joseph's in Prince's Dock Street. Found on the opposite bank to the Titanic Quarter.
Although it is in a poor state you will find a lovely little church with some really colourful Victorian stained glass windows.
In order to try and renovate the church the local volunteer-run Sailortown Regeneration project are trying to raise funds to turn the deconsecrated church into a community hub - so any visit will help support their cause.Written 22 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is a really beautiful Church, not your run of the mill Presbyterian churches at all.
So much to look at, lots of interesting stories.
