Had a few hours to spare so walked from city centre to this attraction. Worth every penny and really enjoyed it. The tour is well thought out and great to get a unbiased opinion of the troubles.

Kirsty was very informative. The 45 minute tour was ideal in length and it was free! She also told me they did school tours as well.

A superb tour, with a warm welcome from every member of staff we met. Our Tour Guide Sarah was outstanding, full of knowledge and enthusiasm. The Stormont Parliament stands full square at the centre of Northern Ireland politics since its opening in 1932 right up until today. Northern Ireland politics is complicated, so its worth reading up a little of the background in advance and leaving ones own preconceptions at Reception.

This is the place to head for culture, art, music, drinks and food. Not really a shopping area as such but the party centre of Belfast City.

We so loved the Christmas Experience at Streamvale - there was SO much to do, from decorating gingerbread in Mrs Claus’s kitchen to feeding reindeer, to a walk through a Narnia-like “forest” - there was even snow! The gorgeous sweet shop might have been our two-year-old’s favourite element but Santa himself was a delight. And as for the “toy workshop” - what a dream come true. A great morning out with really friendly staff, sorry, elves, everywhere.

It’s a must see just because of all the pain it caused and the physical divide it’s left on Ireland. The murals and history are beautiful and paint such a grim picture. That being said it is murals grafited on a brick wall so outside of the history there’s not much there, massively reccommend just for all the messages though.

We first visited driving through as part of the Hop-On Hop-Off Red Bus Tour and then returned the next day and hopped off to see the murals and peace gardens in more detail. Others have mentioned being made to feel uncomfortable or unsafe but this never once happened to us, infact everyone we spoke to was sooo very friendly and helpful, even when popped into a local shop to buy a few snacks etc.

We found the tour bus to be interesting and very sad. Our tour guide explained that even now (25 years after the peace agreement) there's some things you can't say on the wrong side of the wall, such as "Sláinte" (Irish version of cheers) over drinks in the Unionist area (Shankill Road). It is sad that there is still such hatred among neighbours.

We looked at doing one of the famous black taxi tours but found them to be very expensive, we feel we got a very good understanding of the troubles from sitting through the second half of the Hop-On Hop-Off Red Bus Tour, our bus guide was excellent.

Shankill Road is the Unionist area of Belfast and Falls Road is the Republican area. See the many murals on both sides depicting the struggle for power. The dividing wall and gate is still there separating the two communities. Once you cross over the gate you can clearly see a sharp and very quick change in the artwork. The murals change frequently and quickly, an artist can paint over someone's mural in a day.

Worth a visit and really gives an insight into the troubles. If visiting Falls Road, then you need to visit Shankill Road and vice versa. Worthwhile a visit with a guide to give an insight into the troubles.

Cool history, very impressive architecture, and an awesome place to get some great pictures. We stopped during our bus tour of the city, and enjoyed wandering around and taking pictures.

Observed initially on the hop on hop off bus, and went back on foot. Fascinating wall art in the unionist area, tribute to HM the Queen and also homage to the King. I did not feel unsafe at all. People were friendly. Took a wander from here to the derilict Court House and the Jail. The street art continues on the walls in the surrounding area.

We stumbled upon this church by accident and thought we’d go in for a nosey. What a stunning church inside......and so peaceful! A lovely spot to sit and reflect in the beautiful ambience of the church. Don’t go past!

Cathedrals aren't for everyone but this relatively modern church is well worth a detour to visit. The unusual spike like spire built of steel was incorporated so as not to weigh the building down, putting pressure on its less than firm foundations! It rather resembles a dagger being suspended over the pulpit & congregation! An accident of design or subliminal religious symbolism?!

The gardens surrounding Belfast Castle are stunning. There is also an amazing view of Belfast Lough. Unfortunately, we could only go in a few places in the bottom floor of the castle so that was disappointing. There was an interesting story about the Castle Cat in the garden. The castle is beautiful.
