Barry was terrific all the way astound! He picked us up at our hotel early Sunday morning, right away got into the subject with engaging energy, information, insightful dialogue and discussion. He seemed to be genuinely sharing his experience and perspective, while seeking ours…. He also dropped us off a ways from our pick up spot which was our next destination 😊 and then followed up with links & more information as he promised…. Was a great experience! Thank you 🙏

We were stopping over in Belfast for an afternoon on our way to Dublin. We did not have any set plans and found this walking tour. Admittedly neither my husband nor I knew much about these events (they don’t necessarily teach about it in America), but we had visited Derry and did a self guided walk looking at all the murals and we were interested to learn more.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and found it to be one of the most intriguing and eye opening things we did on our holiday. As an outsider to the country of Ireland and only seeing limited images of these conflicts, neither of us realized that there was still an actual wall with gates that divided the two communities.

We feel extremely honored to have heard both men share their experiences with us and truly will never forget the time we spent with them. A lot of what was shared was hard to digest and hear, as it parallels so much of the oppression and suffering we see in the world today, but we left the tour hopeful that both communities can continue to move forward together.

This might not be top of your list as a “fun” activity, but I felt it was one of the BEST things we did despite the difficult content.

Had a great time. Trevor had lots of interesting facts to tell us and pointed out different things that I have walked past and never noticed. Food was excellent and venues varied and welcoming.

We were looking for a tour which covered key points of interest in Belfast city centre as well as some of the politics, history and culture of the town.

Our guide Martin was warm, engaging and good humoured. His knowledge of Belast, Ulster and Ireland shone through and he was open to questions and discussion througout.

Martin is also a native Irish speaker and delivered small sections of the tour as Gaeilge which lended added interest and authenticity to the experience.

Recommended for anyone seeking a comprehensive experience of this wonderful city from an informed, passionate local.

Myself and my partner really enjoyed this tour. It was a very authentic experience, walking around Belfast and listening to Arthur's own experiences of growing up there. I would highly recommend Arthur and his tour anyone looking to learn more about this amazing city.

This tour took my reservation even as a solo traveller. The "Black Taxi" company canceled on me in the early morning of the day of my tour so I booked these guys the last minute and they came through for me-literally booked at 3am and the tour was at noon.

I loved that they offer pick up service, firstly. As well, the guide and driver, Barry, was very friendly and immensely knowledgeable (also has has real life encounters and experience with the history of violence in Belfast).

We drove through the city and saw various murals, the peace wall, and memorials. I went in knowing very little about Ireland's history and left feeling like a history major, with all the information Barry shared with me. I even got some tips on my upcoming tours, where to eat/drink, and movies to watch about Ireland.
    Highly recommend them!

It's a great tour provided by Steve who has tremendous knowledge and great passion to share with us. Steve is also considerable and respectable while showing us the history of Belfast. I have learned a lot and enjoyed a lot with Steve. Highly recommended.

I don’t speak a lot of Spanish but I met Dani and Andy while in the Belfast and they were so friendly an informative I decided to try out their tour. The guys were so amazing with all the people attending and made sure to make everyone feel welcome and entertained.

Although much of the tour was in Spanish one of the guys always accommodated and made sure I understood exactly what was happening.

Andy and Dani also went beyond the tour showing us all the best places to hang out in Belfast, including restaurants and bars. I can not recommend this tour enough! The content is great but the guides are what really make this an incredible experience that you don’t want to miss!

A walking tour with added spooky puzzles to solve? Thanks, very much!

The puzzles were pretty easy, so I would say this as a mixed-age or mixed-ability game. The story line didn't make a whole lot of sense, but it was quite fun to assign the speaking parts to different members of our group to allow for them to do funny voices.
The stops on the tour were good and the historical details were interesting. I would have liked a few more, but I think it was an appropriate number for a family group.

We wanted to see some of the political murals in west Belfast, however we were travelling with 2 children under 16 and these tours were all advertised as not suitable for that age. I contacted Marti and he kindly offered to combine some parts of his different tours for us so that we could see some of these as well as the sights and street art around the city centre.

Marti was knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his home city. It was a really interesting and informative tour. Parts of the tour, especially around shankhill, falls road and the peace wall were not parts of the city that I would have felt confident to be exploring without a guide.

Overall it was a really enjoyable morning and a good introduction to the city and some of the history of Ireland and the troubles.

I would advise you to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. We covered about 10km distance overall, though we did include a short stop for a coffee.

An eclectic, eccentric look at Belfast with Marti. Art, music and philosophy in abundance. Deeply knowledgeable about the street artists and musical history of Belfast. This is not your corporate and scripted tour, but something unique. Thanks for the tour!
