The hot chocolate Co Couture serves is among the best I've ever had outside of Austria and Italy! I hadn't been back to the cafe since pre-pandemic and took my friend here on a recent Saturday morning visit to the city. I was a little disappointed to see they were no longer making chocolates but the hot chocolate didn't disappoint. The woman with an English accent who served us just walked up to our table and didn't tell us what was available to purchase, if there were different drinks and so on. There was a large tour group in the front of the shop so we couldn't go and look at the menu or see what was at the counter. She was quite cold and abrupt so we just ordered a hot chocolate each. The other two staff members that were there were very friendly so it made up for this frosty reception, plus there was a very tiny dog hanging around the shop.

The second disappointment was the bathroom, it was down a dusty, cluttered corridor but I'm sorry to say I've seen cleaner loos in student digs. The sink looked like it hadn't been wiped down for a week. It was covered in dust, scum and dirt. It was subterranean and gloomy, the bin was overflowing. There was nothing to dry your hands but honestly I wouldn't have bothered considering how grimy the loo was. I was very glad to have hand sanitiser with me. I'm thankful to have drunk my drink before going there or I would have felt ill! It doesn't send a good message about the cleanliness of the rest of the business.

I bought a bag of hot chocolate to go, not many items had prices on them I noticed. I would go back for sure next time I'm in the city for a hot chocolate, but would definitely advise maintaining your public loo! Therefore I've taken off a star for cleanliness and a frosty first impression.

Such a great store. Just the right size, very knowledgeable staff! I purchased a recommended book set in Northern Ireland after I told the bookseller the authors I enjoyed reading. Also purchased 2 children’s books. Highly recommend if you are looking for some local flavor.

We visited the Carrolls on Donegall Place which is a short walk from the Belfast City Hall. This place had everything Irish that you could ever imagine and more. Plenty of things to look at and if you needed help there was lots of staff around to point you in the right direction. A wonderful place to shop.

My family and I stumbled upon this store and were delighted, purchasing several pieces of art for our home. They have an incredible variety of very high quality arts and crafts and, in several cases, artists actually there creating artworks which they are also selling. We thus got to talk to two of the artists we purchased from. It is sort of an artist’s shared space, which is an awesome concept. I would love to see such a place back home.

I just want to say a massive thanks to LJ who served me in lush on Sunday.
She was the most friendly, knowledgeable, kindest assistant I have had the pleasure to speak to in lush. I have been in Ireland for nearly 4 months and her customer service skills are nothing short of amazing.
Thanks so much I wish I could bring you back to work in the shops in England as you made my day. Thanks LJ.

Wanted a gift for a friend. Hadnt been here since before the fire. Still a great range of crystal in many different patterns. Chose port glasses which are top quality and a very collectable gift. Service as usual was first class, personal and extremely helpful. Still the best in Ireland. Thank you

Lots of really nice merchandise. As big game of thrones fans we were really pleased to find some cool finds from an authentic Belfast shop. Great selection, friendly staff who were more than happy to help us find something unique to bring home to Sheffield for a friend.

This wee shop certainly fits in with the style of shops on the Lisburn Road. The clothing styles there are what one would expect in high end centres in Lindon,Dublin or other big city men's retailers.worth a look in

I first met Anto Brennan in the early days of Open Window when they were in Smithfield Market.. We quickly hit it off and I was very interested in the work he was producing. I became a regular purchaser of products(I like to believe i was the purveyor of beer vouchers). Over the years including the move to Donegal Street, I continued to order works that Anto produced. I am the proud owner of all the Political chess pieces, the Middle-east chess pieces , various plaques, and small statues, including a bronze finished George Best.
The shop and work-shop are well worth a visit, view the products and paintings....see work on commisions in progress, hear the latest wisecraic from Anto and his brother Gerard............really nice people. Ian "JIM " McIlroy

This is a wonderful bookshop just over the road from the museum and near to Queen's University. Really helpful owners who are happy to advise and share their own passion for the books they have in stock. Really recommend as the most personal and friendly service in a bookshop ever! If you love books and reading you have found the right place to go.
