- tracieoChester, UK240 contributionsJust loved our visit here today. Weather was lovely too which definitely helped.
Magnolia was a delight and food in the restaurant lovely too.
Highlights were the waterfall, terraces and the magnolia

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Emma CBridgend, UK65 contributionsLovely stop and a very large waterfall. ÂŁ2 per person, which is an unmanned turnstile. Cash or contact less. Parking is in a lay-by just down the road & free. Space this time of year, but can guess it gets busy in summer.
Right next to the road, so no hiking to get to it, but there are a lot of steps which is a long way back up
Betws Y Coed looks like a nice village too, with lots of outdoor shops.Written December 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I love going on walks here with friends and family. Having company beside you makes time go quickly!
The only problem is the people that visit with dogs leaving their poo bags around the area. It’s disgusting and they must be held accountable. Otherwise the area is lovely.

Only thing is there is a walk over Sand dunes to get there so not as accessible for disabled parentWritten March 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pippa SWye Valley of Monmouthshire, UK31 contributionsWhen we came here last year, it was so windy we nearly got blown into the sea. This time it was still and calm, with glorious sunshine - amazing for January! We had a good walk along the cliff and a picnic in the car park. Not many birds about, but stunning views. Staff in the visitor centre are lovely - very friendly and helpful.
You could easily spend all day here if you like walking, but for the less mobile, there is still lots to see from the carpark and visitor centre. Well worth visiting.Written January 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We would have taken much more time than the hour and a half to linger and thoroughly appreciate these stunning gardens which really reminded me of a smaller version of Bodnant Gardens.
It was so bad we were given a laminated map of the grounds, what a marvellous idea.
Wish I could have bought some plants, but just wasn't practical for us being so wet and being on a mini break in Angelsey.
Gardeners World 2 for 1 are only accepted on certain days, so check GW website 1st.Written September 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The whole area is breathtaking.Written October 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Pippa SWye Valley of Monmouthshire, UK31 contributionsBeautiful forest and beach. The dunes were fascinating and so interesting to read about them on the information boards. So much space and tranquillity. And we saw a red squirrel, which we weren't expecting as it was quite late in the day.Written January 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - claire bFlorida38 contributionsIt's a Jewelry Box of a house. Filled with intricately carved walls and ceilings. It feels like walking into a dolls house and a bit eerie, like the women are still there somewhere... Its also amazing how smaller people were in the 1700 and 1800's. I loved it!Written October 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- nursecsbCroydon, UK338 contributionsWow!! What a find this was, we had ventured to find the Twr Mawr lighthouse on Llanddwyn Island, and hadn't realised you come through Newborough Forest to gain access to the beach, such beautiful surroundings, so drive through the reserve to the car park and then you see the forest of firs and the onto the beach, and can walk to the island with 2 lighthouses on and the old church ruins, just jaw dropping all of it. Toilets in the car park, 2pd to park for 2 hours then 40p for each additional 20mins, up to max 7pd, you could depend hours here.Written September 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maria B4 contributionsWow wow wow this place is definitely worth a visit. Amazing walk to the lake which took our breath away. We choose to do the lower easier walk around the lake and relaxed on the beach for lunch, even took a swim! Not much car parking so get there early.Written September 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SJT9217Shropshire, UK169 contributionsDecided to visit as we were staying in the area, 2 young kids and 2 adults. We googled the waterfall and on Google it states open, however, on arrival the access to the waterfall was closed until further notice and also the little village café shop. Was looking forward to a cup of tea and relaxing by the waterfall, hadn't been before. However, managed to get a video from the road and free parking allowed us to park up for 5 minutes. I'm sure it is beautiful in the summer, just a shame the online details are not accurate as loads of other tourists were also arriving like we were. I can't give a bad review, but would be good to have updated information as we wouldn't of made the journey.Written November 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jill LTotnes, UK10 contributionsCheck the tides, as when it is out you can literally walk for miles here. Dogs welcome all year on most of the beach. Free parking past the main drag.
