Even if you don't go on a tour (which you pay for), it's worth a walk down the canal to see the outside and courtyard of thi restored building. In the courtyard there is also a cafe, which does a good Mocha. There's also a small visitor centre which charts its history

We had an archery session with Dan who was brilliant and made things fun. There was a mixed group from small children to adults and he made everyone feel included. Will definitely go again and take the family.

Aging from 10-76, a group of 6, we all enjoyed this trip, enthusiastic and researched guide gave life to the canal and it's surrounding areas.

Our visit to the sealife centre was short but sweet, and during our wandering we found this trip which really made our visit to Birmingham. Great value and nice and cool on the boat with the windows open.

    Highly recommended!

Our group of 22 adults are all members of an industrial history society. We were in Birmingham for a long weekend looking at the industies located around the Jewellery Quarter.
We picked Brindley Cruises to give us a tour because Terry has lived and worked arund canals for some time and we felt he could give us the kind of commentary we were looking for.
Well, his commentary went way beyond our expectations. For 90 mins Terry described, explained and anecdoted our progress around the Brindley loops and the Telford New Line.
I lived on the canals for twelve years and I still found it interesting and informative.
If you have any interest in the history of canals then this is the trip for you.

We had a wonderful party on the Victoria for my husband’s 40th! The communication with Katherine was brilliant from the start. The staff on the barge were lovely, and the trip itself was fab! A unique experience and enjoyed by all! Would definitely recommend!

Paid £135 for two hours and I would highly recommend this - one hour would be fun, but probably isn't enough if you want to explore things thoroughly. Staff are really friendly and helpful - they give you an introduction to the controls before you leave and explain everything (there's also an emergency number in case things go wrong - which it didn't for us). We did some of the blue route and all of the yellow - my personal recommendation would be to follow the yellow route as it shows you the city and some nature. The river is also pretty wide here so you can get used to the controls without worrying about crashing into anything.

Great for families, couples or groups. Just remember to take a picnic!

From the moment we were greeted by on board we felt welcome and were made to feel like nothing was too much.
Drinks order taken and we received it quickly and my rosè Prosecco was beautiful.
Rachael the chef cane and took our order from the menu and we relished the tastes of potato and leek soup and the Brie and red onion parcel, my H2B has never had anything like that before and he couldn’t praise it enough.
Next was the main course and the roast beef dinner did not fail to amaze us either, melted in the mouth and was just all perfect.
We enjoyed watching Birmingham pass us by and was so relaxing, Eton mess wS the dessert we chose scrumptious, with the addition of lovely music my partner could have easily fallen asleep because of being so chilled out, good coffee and mints soon woke him up. After 3 hours we departed even though we didn’t want to.

Well done to Gill and her team for letting people take this opportunity, we will definitely do this again. Stay safe through this new lockdown and see you soon

Can't say much about the actual experience - but having organised the kayaking experience as a surprise birthday event for my partner (it's also a 'big' birthday), it's been cancelled a few days before. I'm now desperately scrabbling for some sort of last minute replacement and, although the refund was prompt, would seriously advise against booking this ahead of time. It's not the worst situation given that it's an adult's birthday, but if this were booked for a teen/younger person, it could be extremely disappointing. I guess book on the day/day before to avoid disappointment.
