Our first visit here today. It was so interesting and fascinating to see the exhibits. The planetarium show was incredible too.

The only reason for marking it down was the cost of items in the shop! Some bits were reasonable enough but a lot was very expensive. I get that the attraction is a charity, but some bits were overpriced on top of an already fairly expensive entry fee and parking fee.

The entry fee works out well if you’re local and can benefit from the free returns but not great for those travelling from further afield.

We weren’t expecting much but had a brilliant time. We hadn’t anticipated it being so interactive but loved every minute. It was so good being able to feed the birds and have them hop onto your arms or sit on your shoulders or head!
The staff whilst wandering around and especially at the end were friendly, approachable and knowledge. We spent three hours here with a lunch stop.
The food choices were limited and a tad overpriced. The restaurant area is functional but dull.

This was our first visit. After watching the discovering on TV and having a great interest in history this was the icing on the cake.
We grandparents were very well impressed with the set out and the historical content.
Even the two grandchildren 5 and 8 were kept busy looking for the figures to earn a badge and a sticker.
Oh yes, The Kings Beef pie was excellent!

This place is PHENOMENAL! Kids love it and myself I feel like a kid again, it's so great teaching them the games I grew up playing.

Staff here are beyond helpful they help, teach and show what needs to be done, we love coming here and will be coming again soon, was great in old building, now it's even better, can't wait to see when is all completed...

This place is so good and recommend it to all...

I took my granddaughter, aged 11 ,to see the Saturday matinee of JesusChrist Superstar at the Curve. The production was brilliant; such talented actors. Singing, dancing & staging was amazing. Much better than shows I have seen elsewhere. We were both totally mesmerised by the entire experience. I havnt been to the Curve for ages, but if this is the standard of their productions I will definitely go & see more shows.

I have always loved this beautiful medieval building and have visited it several times since we moved to Leicester three years ago. I had a big birthday last weekend and thought I would be having a surprise meal at a restaurant but when we turned towards the Guildhall and discovered my family had organised a party there for me I was speechless! It was a dream come true, I know weddings and events are held there (I’ve been to a few events) but couldn’t have imagined a party for me. It was a wonderful evening, guests particularly loved visiting the cells. A huge thank you to Ben, my family said he was so helpful in arranging the party and welcoming guests on the evening and Bethan who with Ben ran the bar. An unforgettable evening at the Guildhall.

Brilliant displays on first floor. An exhibition of the caste system through paintings was most interesting. Victorian Leicester through pics and an Egyptian collection. We had time only to go through the first floor. Will need to visit ground floor exhibits another time.
    Highly recommended.

Jack and The Beanstalk such fun. Grandchildren aged 6,8 and 10 laughed and joined in the silliness. Some hidden adult jokes to make us Grandparents laugh lots too. Nice and relaxed after Christmas treat 😀

I hired the engine room and switch room as part of my birthday celebration and the morning could not possibly have gone any better. When my friends walked into the engine room they were absolutely amazed by the sight of the four magnificent beam engines and their ornately decorated surroundings.

One of the engines was in steam and to see this massive piece of machinery working so quietly and smoothly was a real experience. I had wonderd whether some of my guests might not be too interested in the venue but fortunately i need not have worried. Phones were out immediately taking pictures and videos and soon everyone was busy exploring the engine house (which covers 4 floors) with most people even venturing down to the lowest floor which, it has to be said can be a bit wet and oily!

Paul, Denis and Bill, volunteers from the Leicester Museums Technology Association were absolutely brilliant. They had dressed in traditional workers clothes and gave enyone a tour of the engine room and engines, explaining the history of the pumping station and the machinery, nothing was too much trouble for them.

The morning proved to be a fantastic start to my birthday celebrations and I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. Thank you!
