We visited Sandringham on a wet July day to walk through the beautiful woods with our dogs, before heading over for lunch in the restaurant. Our walk was really enjoyable until the last 10 minutes of the 2mile circuit when we managed to lose one of our dogs. Usually highly obedient, no matter how much we whistled and called, there was absolutely no sign of her. A ranger heard our calls and came over to offer her help. Within ten minutes she had contacted all her ranger colleagues and the park was on high alert. After 45 minutes of no sighting, our dog was spotted and grabbed, about half a mile away from where we lost her. I can’t thank the rangers and other dog walkers enough for their help. Such a lovely bunch of people who all rallied round and helped us get our dog back.

Bewilderwood Norfolk kindly allow a permissive footpath through their car park which allows us to be able to exercise our dog there whilst we are staying nearby.

Accordingly I have no problem picking up the odd piece of garbage to maintain the pristine appearance of the area. But who on earth tonight has decided that it is appropriate to just open the car door and leave a plastic bag with a partly consumed drink in it and a full nappy! Literally dropped next to where the car must have been parked and no more than 15 to 20 feet from a litter bin. Who are these people?

Yes, I put them in the bin.

Although not religious my family and I visited the cathedral to admire the architecture. It is very grand and well presented and cared for, we really enjoyed our visit. The guide pamphlet is fine, the map is good but I found the information a bit dull, will probably appeal to you more if you have more familiarity with saints and such. I especially recommend a visit to the cafe, it is gorgeously light, and run by a bakery making delicious break and pastries.

    Parking was easy.
We walked down to beach with our dog on a lead. Beautiful sandy beach which slopes down to the sea.
We walked along several divides of the beach sections - maybe 7 to then find a beach load of seals just laying around, moving occasionally, making noises, some going into the sea, playing or rolling, looking up, stretching etc. We kept our distance of 10m unlike some people although if someone got too near it was pointed out by other members of the public. It was respected when mentioned.
We stayed for about an hour just watching them and using a zoom lens to photograph.
Just a wonderful experience. A joyful memory to hold on to.

The whole ensemble at the end of the pier show are so hard working, dedicated and talented. I was very impressed with the host who was able to coax the audience into joining in. Myself and my son went on stage and were 'victims', all in good spirits and would definitely go up again.
Well done- here's to another 47 years

Visited here due to the recent rainy weather in Norfolk while on holiday. It was a quiet day when we went so it felt quite relaxing walking around looking at all the traction engines. They were lit up with lights and on one of them there were stairs so you could look right inside. It is quite a small place but there was a show on where you could watch and listen to someone playing an electronic organ - he was a very skillful organ player and it was nice listening to him while we were walking around and it added a bit more to the experience. We also opted into having a ride in the old fashioned Gondola fairground ride which was a unique experience and would recommend if you was travelling here. The property also has shops and a restaurant and ample parking.

Stayed in Major Lodge for a week with two teenagers and two grandparents one of which is very fragile. The place is excellent and very suitable for disabled person. Ramps everywhere and a good suitable bathroom. Super comfy master bedroom and rooms. Plenty of seats and well equipped. Wonderful garden overlooking reserve. BBQ and great seating etc. we had a very lovely time. The park and buggie tours are fabulous. We sat in Garden in evening with bbq watching the animals, birds and a huge owl hunting. Very relaxing. Recommend!!

This tour was just great, fascinating to see the aspects of grand house living not usually seen by visitors. Our guides were amusing, entertaining, informative- lovely ladies.

We went today for the first time during the summer holidays and weren’t disappointed! So much going on, calf feeding was definitely the best though and we went to both feeding activities. All of the farm staff were lovely, we spoke to the ladies doing the bottle feeding and they were so knowledgeable and you can tell they love their job.
Went for lunch in the farmyard cafe and it was so well ran! A lovely lady (blonde hair, tattoos and piercings) in there was so polite and since it was quiet she had a lovely conversation with us at the till, just these small details which make a massive and positive difference! We have been in that cafe before and there’s been a miserable old woman with coloured hair in there, so it was a nice change for this young lady to be in there and keeping it so tidy.
Please, please pass on my thanks to these few staff members mentioned as they made the trip so enjoyable!
I was slightly apprehensive that they weren’t doing the summer pass this year, but now realising about the annual pass it’s even better!

A beautiful house but it was obvious that visitors only get to see a fraction of the property. Equally, with conservation work ongoing in some of the rooms, we were not able to fully appreciate what was there! Had some trouble paying cash.......maybe something for NT to take on board? Equally, paying £5 to park as well as entry to house/gardens was a bit steep. Can understans if only walking the dog in the parkland though! Helpful staff but nowhere for those with limited mobility to sit down on the way round so hubs, with sciatica, couldn't access the house!

We enjoyed several hours here enjoying the gorgeous gardens and the V Walk route. There was plenty of comfortable seating places both in the garden and during the walk. The gardens are superb and we enjoyed the different zones and the thoughtful planting. The wildlife was clearly enjoying them too especially many varieties of birds. Clearly a lot of work goes into tending them. The V walk was very peaceful and we enjoyed listening to the beautiful birdsong and seeing a roe deer very calmly crossing the path to enter the woods on the other side. The cafe was typical of National Trust properties, super hot drinks and a delicious selection of cakes etc. Service was very efficient. We sat in the courtyard and there was a very nice relaxing atmosphere. The shop again was typical National Trust with a selection of items to buy plus very healthy looking plants. The car park was easy to navigate. All the staff were friendly and obviously enjoyed working/volunteering there. We are big fans of the NT and we think Felbrigg does them proud.
