- ANDY KMirfield, UK2,116 contributionsThis pub showcases the best the area has to offer in both real and craft beers with all styles and tastes catered to.
There is also a good selection of ciders which is perfect for the area.
The pub offers a full bar selection on top of this with plenty of seating outside.
As they do not do food they are happy for you to bring your food in with you and there is a great fish and chip shop next door.Written October 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This plus the great freindly atmosphere make it seem more like a club or common room for ex as well as current students. A must visit if you want a quality pint away from the tourist rat raceWritten February 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went with our Uni student son when visiting him. We were surprised to see there was no charge on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. There is a good bar with friendly service, so it's reasonable to buy drinks while you are there. Highly recommend The Games Room.Written October 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Timeless and unspoilt. We arrived on their 50th anniversary in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Apart from their range of gravity delivered real ales they were in the middle of a beer festival with 20 real ales available. It is also Falmouth's Oyster Festival so oysters from a mobile truck. The pub is also featured in the Good Pub Guide. Lovely. Doggy friendly. Obviously. Always a calling when in Falmouth. 🇬🇧🇳🇿Written October 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mack T1 contributionFantastic bar staff, but the lady on karaoke was all about sorting her mates out and mistakingly thinking she was some hot s&$*.
She was half right.
Great atmosphere in the pub. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms and the locals are an eclectic, welcoming bunch.
A treat to visit, and it will stay on our 'MUST DO' when we come to Cornwall.Written August 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - James CSpalding, UK87 contributionsStopped in on wet day for lunch .
Good local pub .
Beer good.
Service and staff very friendly.
Menu for lunch hot and cold local tapas , with larger other dishes.
Can recommend shell on prawns and mackerel pate.
Small kitchen and some other dinners had to wait a short while for chef to cook as he seemed to on his own , but I think that’s a good thing , staff did explain to dinners and offered cold alternatives to speed up service.
Not expensive compared with pubs in Falmouth.
Do try the ferry , pop over for lunch if in Falmouth.
Definitely worth a visit and we would return for sure.Written June 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
