Visited here on our two week tour of Denmark with family and a friend. Would have enjoyed the cobblestone walk to the ruin more if it hadn't been raining. Enjoyed climbing up and down the ruin.

The church is set in the middle of the vilage, has it's own car park (A nice touch insofar as it's round !) and is well signposted.

On a small hill, sourrounded by a typically pristine cemetery the Church was open on the day we visited. No fee to enter and it really does have a medieval atmosphere. Small guidebooks available on an honesty basis for 1 Euro.

Not worth driving for miles to see - but if you are driving to Aarhus airport from the City worth the detour.

On your way to the Kalø slotruin do not pass without stopping at this beautiful little white church and chapel. The green and colourful graveyard is a perfect lookout over the bay and Kalø slotruin.

I was lucky enough to live at Mollerup for a whole year. It was a long time ago, but I have been back and it is still as wonderful as it ever was. The estate is a historic masterpiece and the lifestyle on such a grand working farm was fascinating!

I worked in the stables and the horses they breed in that area are some very impressive warm-bloods. We used to ride horses to the next town to buy fresh fish which we carried home in backpacks. I ate lots of duck and pheasant that year, but my favorite was when the eels swam up the moat and they used to keep them in a bathtub in a beautiful bathroom until the forest ranger smoked them. I also rode over to a shoemaker in another town who made custom clogs for me.

Danish people are wonderful and this is a very different way to see how they live!
