We have visited most of Mexico' big name Mayan sites (Chichen Itza, Palenque, Uxmal, Labna, Yaxchilan, Bonampak, etc) so it was great to be able to visit this more out of the way place.
Superb visit (long coach from Port!) Great views from the top and guide (Jesus) was great!!
You could still climb the structures when we were there unlike some of the large sites, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out many small things that get overlooked when in a large group.

There is a small store on site that sells various religious items and resources - books, rosaries, candles, etc. - all at great prices.
It's close to a Xoxo, if you need a close landmark.
This little historic church has a direct view when you enter to the sea it is athe oldest church in Playa Del Carmen and it is really worth a visit
Open all day for private prayers and many masse offerd in this popular little church in the main square of playa with sea views.

And also to view them making such creations was amazing, they definitely have talent and dedication for this.
Warm, friendly local women making jewelry on site.
absolutely amazing underground experience... well guided and fun for all... a first hand view of one of nature's treasures!! created by the roots of trees from above...Amazing!!
The best advice that I can give is to spend a whole nice and intense day with the beginning in the archaeological site of Coba and with the end of the day in these three Cenotes .

Fun way to see the variety of beaches, hotels, restaurants, shops, cultural sites, etc. Easy to use, and one is always about a minute away, literally.

I have read great reviews on this site and The Empress of the Seas will be coming into Cozumel on December 25.
If you are in the area of Tulum, this is a must - hire a local guide to take you on this combined tour, starting with a less known Maya archaeological site, followed by an easy and short stroll through the jungle,...
There is a look-out tour on the walk thru the jungle, very steep climb, but safe and at the top you have a good view of the surrounding jungle and lagoon.

El Meco Ruins Puerto Juarez
We got Elias a great taxi driver he took us to all the less commercialized Mayan sites and to the Mayan museum.
We walked alone through most of the site and could really take it all in (would be perfect for a quick meditation).

The ferry is clean, top deck offers great views, bottom deck is air conditioned, comfortable seating and with luck, a mariachi will be playing!
This was an amazing adventure, the view was spectacular and the narrative very informative.

There is a fabulous presentation, in English of what the Image represents, breath taking views and an incredible gift shop full of local (made on Isla) silver hand crafted jewelry @ very good prices.
Outstanding view of the ocean, yet another church we lit a candle in for our dear friend fighting cancer.

A big, spacious and beautiful square with shopping, dining and a few sights to see.
El Malecon Isla Mujeres
Nice easy walk on the Malecon and view all the colourful houses and nice ocean views....about 1 mile walk there and back...easy for seniors and right in middle of town.
definitely try to walk the malecon a few times when you are visiting - we loved the views and the peace of it away from the golf carts and scooters.
Beautiful wellness centre, wonderful view from the gym, peace and tranquility abound while you work out.
Make sure you have a car - the beach is a good 15-minute drive away and the only food on site is at the other end of the Bahia Principale property.
These are modest Maya ruins, nothing like you'd find at the major sites, but that's exactly what makes them so incredibly cool.
Good for children - not as many tourists as at the large sites.
San Miguel Cozumel
St. Miguel is a beautiful little town sperbe , people are nice and very charming, the city is made on along the sea so you can walk there all day and enjoy the view
