What travelers are saying
- M S1 contributionOur family did massages at Mr. Sancho's and they did a wonderful job! My daughter and I had Abril and Selena, they both did an excellent job. Unfortunately, I cannot remember who my husband and son had, but they were great as well! Definitely take them up on a quick 20-30 min massage if visiting Mr. Sanchos!Written 27 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Christie S1 contributionWe go to Cozumel all the time but never visited Chankanaab. We decided to spend the day at the beach and snorkeling so we choose Caribbean Sun Beach and I must say it was a great day. Snorkeling was wonderful, our wait staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I got my husband to try guacamole for the first time because it was so scrumptious looking and tasting. The whole park had so many things to offer it was a full day of enjoyment. I would like to Thank Max for making the experience one I will remember for years to come.Written 16 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Matthew Chegwidden4 contributionsMagical place. Lots of info, every question answered. There are literally 20+ nests of bees rescued from locals who didn't want them around. These bees are HARMLESS they do not sting. I'm allergic to bees and it was so neat to see hives in logs up close. The honey tasting was over the top. Store honey was normal honey taste but the little bee honey was scrumptious so different, you can taste the wild jungle flowers in it. There was a shaming ceremony which was very interesting to say the least. There was a statue carver who was very talented. I say two thumbs up go go goWritten 11 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- REY VLilburn, GA1 contributionWe have been to Paradise Beach three time over the last 2 years and have enjoyed our selves each and every time. We have come as a couple without the kids and as a whole family unit of 6. The staff at Paradise Beach understand that you want to relax and let someone else take care of the details. We always purchase the all-inclusive package because it is worth the price. The drinks are great, the food is solid(especially the Mahi Mahi filet) and the staff is excellent. Our most recent servers Omar and Martin were fantastic! Previously manager Manual Santos has given us wonderful service as well. Manuel was not there at our most recent April visit but the manager that day, Nicole, went out of her way to get our 2 year old a blow up pool. Little Leo safely sat right by our cabana bed close to mommy as she relaxed. Like I said they are great. Enjoy your time at Paradise Beach and tell them SALUDOS from the Vega Family!Written 16 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MattOmaha, NE4 contributionslots of vibrant colors, fish, and a few massive loggerhead turtles. Dove here a few times because of the swim throughs as well as the wildlife.Written 3 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- tonypusaSeattle, WA103 contributionsPro:
- The view from the lighthouse is breathtaking. Crazy beautiful. 360 view of beaches, lagoons, the ocean dazzling with blue and turquoise colors, tumultuous waves.
- Cool wildlife in the lagoon, e.g. flamingo
Con:
- Park stops letting people to to the beach area shortly after 3pm... which is a shame since we arrived in the afternoon. Sundown isn't until 7pm!Written 16 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - rlwjenkinsFountain Hills, AZ70 contributionsWe love going to El Cielo. It is awesome to see and have the stingrays swimming around us. The water is spectacular!!Written 19 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- kenny10564Newcastle-under-Lyme, UK375 contributionsThis for me was really interesting.
Not seen anything like it on any of my travels.
Great for taking photos with family or friends with this as a backdrop.Written 1 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - hcbfloridaFort Myers, FL142 contributionsThis was overall a good excursion. We did the dolphin experience. We got all drinks included (sooo watered down), buffet (that sucks completely), and multiple dolphin activities. Also, you get a sea lion show and a pool area to hang out around. Our waiter, Israel, was really good. I was worried about the ethics of swimming with dolphins in captivity, but the trainers are very professional. Also, there were lots of trainers doing one one one activities with just dolphins so I felt better about them having stimulation. The actual dolphin encounter was really neat. You get to have a lot of contact with them and see how they're trained. We also got to spend time with a manatee. You're not allowed to take pictured with the dolphins and to but them is pretty expensive. I think like $40 for one picture. We skipped that. The facility staff were great and got us a taxi back quickly. There is a nice beach area beyond the Dolphin Discovery area. I would do it again.Written 26 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Noel R1 contributionRoger was the best! We did the jeep and passion Island tour! It was w great experience! The food, drinks, and the beach or awesome!Written 7 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LeonardCenturion, South Africa69 contributionsWe cruised in on the Carnival Conquest ship. Chose a 4 hour guided tour package on a tour bus of the island to the Mayan ruins followed by Techila and chocolate tasting, which included a taco style lunch. The tour guide option is well worth it. Cost of $89/person. Lots of history here. Island is totally dependent on tourism.Written 17 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- GFtraveller1Menlo Park, CA24 contributionsWe hopped in a taxi from the neighboring Iberostar and wend on a snorkeling trip to El Cielo, Columbia and Palancar reefs with the boat from the Palancar Beach Club. No reservations. They don't leave until there are a minimum of 6 guests signed up since there is a captain, a snorkeling/safety guide, and a guide/photographer with the group. You just wait around until more guests arrive, usually 30 minutes or less. The two guides were great at pointing out marine life to us, and diving down to show us more and take fun photos of us. We saw a stingray, an eagle ray, a flounder, a group of squids, a barracuda, a turtle, and many schools of fish. There is a strong current on the reefs so this is a "drift" swim, where you mostly float in the current while looking down. It was wonderful. I highly recommend it!Written 14 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Barb BOverland Park, KS28 contributionsMy granddaughter and I went to The Pearl Farm while staying in Cozumel. What an incredible, relaxing and informative excursion. I never knew much about pearls. It was my 2nd time on the tour and I enjoyed it as much as the 1st. It’s a day of being away from the hustle and bustle of life and connecting to nature’s beauty. As an added bonus, we had the absolute best shipmates. They added pleasure and laughs the entire day.Written 18 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BojojonesLake Jackson, TX36 contributionsFirst time to eat at this restaurant but it will not be our last. The nacho appetizers, followed by a shrimp entree, was all very good. Generous portions and friendly waiters, coupled with a breathtaking sunset view, made the evening very memorable for our family.Written 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Netta M20 contributionsThe beach is beautiful, very clean, and white sand. If you get all inclusive the drinks are tasty. However, the food options and Buffet could be better. Oh I must mention the large bikes, kayak, pattleboats are all
Included. The jet ski is $65/half hour and the parasailing is $110. I did both and they were extremely fun.Written 13 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
