Eugenio was a wonderful guide! So friendly and knowledgeable! We learned a lot, appreciated the relaxing 3 hour paddle through the mangrove forest!

Absolutely wonderful experience! We had Axel as our guide and it ended up just my wife and myself so it was more like a private tour. It was so calm and peaceful on the water, and Axel was great sharing facts and wildlife with us as we wxplored rhe lagoon. We ended seeing four different types of herring, puffer fish, crabs, and rays and got to traverse inside natural channels between the magroves! It was a fantastic start to our vacation and Gabby was wonderful throughout the booking process and Axel was amazing for the tour.

Staff was very friendly and professional. We had tour guide Jorge Pineapple, Captain Moses, and Photographer Alex. They were great! We enjoyed our excursion and was able to “swim” with 2 turtles!! Well worth the trip!

We had an amazing time paddling amongst the mangroves and learning so much about the area from our knowledgeable guide Camila! Unfortunately, our Autistic son had a bit of a meltdown and Cam handled everything with grace and understanding that really made us feel looked after. We would not hesitate to book another outing with Highlife Mexico Tours! Thank you Cam for a wonderful morning :)

This tour was fantastic, Andrés was so good. He has so much knowledge of the local area and wildlife, very honest genuine person, sends you some photos with no extra charge.
He was always looking out for wildlife for us to see and found us a baby crocodile.
Such good value would recommend to anyone coming to Cancun. The lagoon is overlooked but is really beautiful and a nice peaceful change from the other side of the hotel zone.

Absolutely wonderful. I took the morning tour. Slowly cruising through the a narrow mangrove passage is quite wonderful. I saw a resting crocodile, there are starfish in one areas, marine sponges in another. We saw birds, Little blue heron, Great blue heron, Tiger heron, Egret, an Anhinga, Andrés, our excellent guide and bird identifier, showed us examples of red black and white mangrove. The whole trip lasted two hours or more.

Paddling back to base against the wind was difficult but doable. When we were on the main channel some larger boats went by throwing up waves, but you just turn to face into them and they are not a problem. But in general, it was a spectacular, high value, close to big nature experience with lots to see. I highly recommend it to any nature lover.

I went on an excursion to this park, which boasted many water activities and swimming. The snorkeling was basically just looking into murky water and seeing the one or two fish that were visible. There was no beach, as the little span of water they had was all coral. There was an “infinity pool” but it was packed tight with children and parents. The ride to Royal Garrafon was by ferry which promised a “light breakfast and open bar”. There was no breakfast, and the “open bar” was beer and juice. There was a woman walking around selling M&Ms and Pringle’s, which was infuriating by that point. This excursion costs $145 pp and was a total waste of an entire day and money. The park is less than a half mile long, and there isn’t much to do to pass the time. If you’re looking for a natural water park that’s worth the money, go to Xel-Ha. It’s gorgeous and you’ll have a great time! I do want to say that the staff was the only wonderful thing about this park. Unfortunately, nothing was going to save the day.
