Good area to see underwater corals and fish! Our tour boat was excellent in going to the areas where we really saw clearly underwater.

4/26/23 …. I wont lie it was a little eerie at first, it was only my husband and I . The snorkeling was pretty good considering it had rained for 2 days. Wish we had found this beach earlier in our trip as it was only 10 min (by car) from where we stayed. I recommend this as a snorkeling day adventure.

The snorkeling is good. Not amazing, but worth the trip. We used Frank's Glass Bottom Boat, which was fine.

We stayed at the Blue Waters Inn, and took a kayak to the reef. We definitely could have swam to it, but the kayak looked like fun, so we enjoyed two things at once. The reef is very cool to see! We were there during the rainy season, so the water wasn't as clear. Snorkeling on the Caribbean side of the island is better during this time (which we did, and loved).

If bathing, sunsets, and lovely beaches is what you enjoy. Then this is a great place to add to your Tobago shortlist.

    The name Japanese gardens is
Not a name I would give this as the name implies a 'garden' and it is a bit confusing!
However if you are into scuba diving than this should be on your list of things to do!
The site is actually a diving site located at Speyside on the north side of Goats Island.
Japanese gardens runs along the side of goat island and it derived its name from the colourful coral which is abundant underwater in the area. Recommend as dive but not as a tourist site to go to just visit.

The current was fairly strong, but that added to the excitement of the dive. Encountered giant barracuda, turtles, lobsters, stingrays and numerous reef fish. The corals were colourful and huge. This site is definitely worth diving. My dive operator was Undersea Tobago, who was very good.

Saw my first pair of sea horses found by Kiki the DM. Saw a reef shark and a nurse shark. Lots of sponges with prawns inside them, gorgonia (seafans) A very enjoyable dive with 20m visibilityand the current was not too strong. Great 1st dive in Tobago waters.

This was my second favorite dive in Tobago. Lots and lots of fish (combination reef and drift dive) combined with garden eels. Abundant marine variety: turtle, barracuda, garden eels, plus all the standards: lizardfish, coronet fish, trumpetfish, parrotfish, and trunkfish.

Really nice dive sight. The highlight is the crashing waves just above you and the Tarpon swimming at around 20 feet. Best dive out of Speyside.

Sleeper was an average dive site; drift dive (as most are in the area); we did not see anything especially interesting on this dive (maybe that is why it is called sleeper), but it was still a nice dive.
