Maracas Beach is indeed a beautiful destination! Located in Trinidad and Tobago, it's known for its stunning golden sands, clear blue waters, and lush green surroundings. The beach is a popular spot for both locals and tourists alike, offering opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, picnicking, and even surfing when the conditions are right.

One of the unique features of Maracas Beach is the opportunity to indulge in some delicious local cuisine, particularly the famous "bake and shark" sandwich, a Trinidadian specialty made with fried shark meat served in a fried dough known as "bake" and topped with various condiments and sauces. It's a must-try for visitors to the beach!

Whether you're there to relax on the sand, enjoy the ocean views, or savor some tasty treats, Maracas Beach offers a fantastic experience for anyone looking to soak up the beauty of Trinidad and Tobago's coastline.

This was not my 1st time visiting the Caroni Bird sanctuary in Trinidad but it was certainly the most fantastic visit. The number of Scarlet Ibises has increased and the influx and growth of a colony of flamingos and blue herons, as well as blue herons, makes for a fantastic display. The your guides and boating facilities are a little lacking in amenities and safety gear (I used Nanan's and booked on their website), but their knowledge of the many channels and islands in the swamp and the birds' behaviour made for an interesting trip. The highlight was the flight of thousands of scarlet ibises in groups of various sizes flying to their nightly roosting spots on a small island. We also saw a group of flamingos in flight - a rare sight. I highly recommend a visit- it is simply amazing. The tour I took was from 4pm until 615pm.

We toured the park and there were flowers. This was the dryer time of year so that some of the plants had no flowers. There was a tree that had pink and lime green bark that was interesting.
The Presidents House is in the garden area.

Huge park in the middle of the city where people do sports, come together with family and friends, celebrate close-by Carnaval, join for streetfood, and much more.

Fantastic views of Port of Spain. It is not closed because of restoration works, but people on site allowed us to access for the views, and that worth the tricky road until the Fort.

We couldn't go in but the outside had just been painted and they did an amazing job. It's a bit of a drive outside of Port of Spain but if you have a driver it very doable.

I enjoyed my visit to the Emperor Valley Zoo. You can follow a path around the circumference of the zoo and see nearly all of the animals. You can easily spend an hour or two looking at the variety of animals. Many of the animals are native to Trinidad, but they also have several exotic species on display. (All of the animals in my photos are native to Trinidad.) There are informative signs that describe the animals.

We had this place to ourselves. The hike is beautiful as you’re completely surrounded by lush greenery, and the waterfall is even more beautiful.

Our only complaint, is parking. The road leading up to the trailhead ends next to some housing, and you basically have to park on the side of the road which looks very odd. And it does NOT look like you’re heading in the right direction. But if you press on, you’ll be rewarded.

I attended a dance concert here and loved it. It was so well organised and clearly the technical support staff rehearse properly so there are no hiccups on the day!
They start on-time here; not Trini-time so this is a great example to set to other performing arts venues.

Very professional staff who help latecomers to their seats with dim torchlights so as not to affect patrons already enjoying the show.
There is a need for a larger area for dedicated coffee/tea stations and for quicker service especially during a short 15-minute intermission where you’ve barely got time to gulp down a hot beverage without waiting 8-10 minutes in a line just to get your item.

But this in no way affects my impression of the efficiency of this well-oiled machine that is Queen’s Hall!

Wonderful historical roman-catholic church with beautiful decorations, thoughtful mass, and amazing people taking care. Really a wonderful place to be thoughtful, pray and light a candle for loved ones who passed away.

A good experience in getting to Tobago. A 3 hour trip, inexpensive and certainly good scenery. Premium ticket was the way to go, very comfortable.
