Hornbaek is a lovely small village easily reachable from Copenhagen via train, changing at Helsingor. There are lots of picturesque thatched houses and a small marina (and a Netto to buy your beach snacks). The long sandy beach stretches in both directions from the marina, with dunes to the west and woodland with some nice trails along the coast to the east. It's a lovely place to sit and enjoy the shipping go past and the views across to Sweden.

This is a great typical small local old church :).
As most churches in Denmark by the coast it has a boat/ship theme inside with ships hanging from the ceiling.
The alter is simple but very beautiful.

The water sculpture "Livets Kilde" (The source of life) at Hornbæk Square by the Library is created by the Japanese / Danish sculptor Jun-Ichi Inoue. The sculpture is made of granite from Bornholm and Sweden, and is created especially for Hornbæk Square.

I love this golf course, it is simple but challenging. The greens are fairly flat and big.
The fairways can be narrow on a few holes but are pretty wide on most.
Few water hazards and only one is really in play.
One thing I missed was the cart coming around to sell refreshments. The restaurant does not open before 10am.
