The place has a few easy short trails between the wetlands, ditches, ponds and lakes. When we were here, we only saw a few teals, paradise shell ducks, scaups, larks, black birds, black swans, harrier, finches and a lark. Probaby there are more kind of birds later in the season. We hoped to see spoon bills and some other waders. Along the trails there are too many car tires, they protect new planted trees and bushes we guess. In potential a great park.

It's a nice place to stop. There is a good-sized car park. We took a hike about 3km along a track which runs parallel to the river, with good views of it; we saw interesting birds. Afterwards, we picnicked on the edge of the river, and nearby, people were swimming.

Great place to take the kids, and the grandparents. Great to see local history preserved. I'm not sure if it's open all the time or not though.
