My partner and I were recently in Puerto Galera for a summer vacation. I'm a city girl and told him I wish to snorkel and visit a beach with CLEARRR water (as I have never seen such thing in my life). He took me to Boquete Island as a pit stop during our snorkel activity, and damn I am in love with how clean and clear the water is!

I was waddling around the shores while my partner was soaking in the sun and I came across Patrick the Chocolate Chip Starfish! What a cutie! He was the highlight of my day!!!

Don't worry: I left him back where I found him in the water.

Located just off the shoreline, it's a bit of a gimmick. To get to and from the floating pontoon one catches the small boat from the beach for the 2 min ride. Alternatively it would be easy to swim out to. With many bars and restaurants to choose from on shore I'm not sure why you would make the effort to go out to this tiny bar, other than to tick it off the list.

We did our open water diver course with my girlfriend at South Sea Divers in February 2015. Sky and Paul were superb. They had very professional but at the same time laid back attitude and also introduced us to the village. Dive sites are great and diverse. Safe and great place to do your open water diver course!

Great dive center with 7 rooms above. There is a large resort up the hill but we stayed in the dive center. Fabulous experience with the team. Great value, clean, organized, new equipment, lovely large rooms with cable tv, fridge and fresh water. Quality experience with great people. Glenda makes the place with her friendly and helpful personality. Can't wait to come back

Needs to improve room furnitures and Aircon problems! Just nice room view! Amenities to be upgraded, staff should be more helpful and no wifi access.
