- Peter BLeuven, Belgium310 contributionsEven during the height of the holiday season we enjoyed a nice afternoon at the beach. It was rather crowded but did not really bother us as it didn't lead to delays at the bar or restaurant.
We had lunch at the restaurant, instead of the self service, and the food was good even though the portions were on the smaller side compared to restaurants around.
Some tips: arrive around 9-9.30 am if you want to make sure you have parking in front as the parking will be complete after that time. Towels are NOT provided in standard seat fee so byo. Our disappointment was that you have to pay to use it, which I get but I paid 4 different prices for the same sunbed and umbrella. Each time I questioned it the level of English understanding suddenly went down !! Also discovered that if you were "local" there was a different ( lower) price. This also applied to the drinks from the bar. However I discovered that I could purchase the same beer from a local shop for 1.5 euros instead of 5.5 euros on the beach. I appreciate that this sounds like a rant but we did feel a little unwanted being non Italian. We did however enjoy the beach , which is in a great location with fantastic views. The beds are comfortable and the sea is warm. I didn’t have any high expectations as I don’t fancy bars in Sorrento Coast much. However i was pleasantly surprised. The waiter was very nice who gave a great customer service. We have chosen something from the menu and something up to a bartender to surprise me. I have asked for something sweet and sour and my cocktail turned out to be not only tasty but also very nicely presented. They also have nice cabanas to relax on during day time. The location is great as well as it is just right on the beach. Would definitely recommend this place! We made our arrangements prior to our arrival - Tonino is very responsive via email and text. Our driver was Nando - friendly, punctual, safe. The car was clean and comfortable. We highly recommend!
