First of all it was a driver a tour guide ( very knowledgeable) and the two of us. Essentially it was a private tour. The first part of the tour consisted of a lot of driving to see monkeys and chocolate hills. But the highlight of the tour was a wonderful lunch on a boat down the river. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! WORTH THE MONEY!!

After our lunch, we said goodbye to Giselle and our driver drove us to Moalboal. We went to the starting point, which is like in the town centre, where we registered ourselves with name, age, nationality, and attended a short briefing of the rules. We also paid 800 pesos for Go Pro service by our boat guide for the 3h island hopping tour. After which we went on a boat to Pescador Island (that took about 20mins) to see numerous different types of fishes! They were very beautiful and our guide dived very deep to help us video the fishes swimming. He also videoed us trying to dive along with the fishes. We literally found Nemo there 🙃. We spent 30mins there before moving on to near the shore (that took about 20mins) to see the sardines. They were numerous and swam in packs. I tried to swim together with them but they will dodge humans very fast. Our last stop was the sea turtles, which were a 5mins swim across the shore only. It was there where the guide dived with me to video me close up with the turtle. Luckily, the turtle was very close to shore so we did not need to dive in deep. Once all these were done, we rode back to the starting port, and then the locals help us transfer the photos and videos from the Go Pro to our phones!

Safety: Wear the life-vests on board, you can choose to take out while in the water watching the fishes so as to dive deeper. Snorkelling gear with breathing pipe is provided too for free. However flippers come at additional cost of 100 pesos, which we did not get as we had Decathlon wet shoes on and they were good enough to swim. Be warned, the boat engine is LOUD. If it rains at your period, the boat captain may go back on shore earlier for everyone’s safety, and there’s no refund.

Rules: Don’t touch the fishes and sea turtle. Don’t go hunt the fishes. Don’t step on the sea bed and disturb the sediment and corals. Don’t take dead fishes or plants from the sea.
Transportation: Some tuktuk bikes might be willing to go to Moalboal from Cebu City/ other cities nearby. Otherwise private car is recommended!

Highly recommending this casual afternoon chill out tour on Virgin island.
The tour is well organized and the transfer from the Abraham vehicle to captain Melanie's vessle was smooth and hassle free. We soon headed towards Virgin island. There was a snorkeling stop on the way. There was some interesting sea life to explore. The snorkeling gear provided was good quality.
We then continued to Virgin island which was just emerging as we arrived and with low tide coming in just then we watched the sand bank increase in size.
The sun was slowly setting and we enjoyed this special spot in the middle of the sea with the delicious philippino snacks and drinks provided.
On the way back we stopped for a quick night swim by the boat, which was just as enjoyable as everything preceding on this tour.
    I would go again!

We were lucky enough to have Jessie as a guide who was always punctual (to the minute!), full of interesting information and very accommodating to our requests.
Jessie is obviously a very talented guide, he knows what he is doing, and planned our trip around avoiding the throngs of other tourists. Which meant that we had a very pleasant snorkeling experience and a beautiful lunch served on the boat.
The walk through the village on Balicasag island was an absolute highlight , the kids at the local school sang us a song which was absolutely beautiful! I only wish that we had taken some school supplies with us to hand out. If anyone reads this please take some! They are all super happy with very little but it would have been nice to gift them a few pencils or books etc.
I would definitely recommend any tour with Ecotravelers. Don’t book an island hopping tour with one of the hawkers on the beach, this was much more pleasant than a jam packed boat with and very reasonably priced too.
The snorkeling was brilliant, beautiful turtles and fish. Very warm water although there was a strong current as the tide was changing which could be dangerous for weak swimmers.
I would just suggest in future that Eco travelers maybe try to use non plastic utensils for lunch - it would be much more eco friendly to have reusable utensils. There was loads of rubbish on balicasag island, many tourists even dumped their lunch rubbish including knives forks and drink containers on the beach and left. I know that Jessie wouldn’t have done that with ours but anything we can do to reduce waste would be a better experience. I’d also probably prefer not to feed the fish crackers, as it’s not their natural food and they’d already been given loads by other snorkelers. I think those two things would make it even more eco aware and friendly.

This is a fantastic trip that doesn't require joining other groups, and it's one of my favorite experiences on Bohol Island! The journey takes about 40 minutes by boat (actual time depends on the sea conditions). Before reaching Pamilacan Island, the boat captain deliberately stops in the sea to call dolphins, and we were lucky to have nearly 20 dolphins come near the boat, leaping and spinning in groups – it was such a joyful sight! At this point, you might feel satisfied enough to head back to the hotel, but the best part is yet to come.

Near Pamilacan, we boarded a small boat to reach a snorkeling spot. Afterwards, we had lunch prepared by the locals on the island. Even though the coconut they served wasn't chilled, the food was incredibly delicious, so it didn't really matter, haha! Lastly, what I can't forget the most is lying on a hammock and leisurely enjoying the picturesque scenery after lunch.

The Panglao Island Bohol Day Tour was a total island adventure! We first explored the Hinagdanan Cave – like stepping into a hidden world underground. Stalactites, stalagmites, all those cool cave things. And then, Bohol Bee Farm? It's a bee-tastic place where you learn about bees and munch on yummy organic treats. They even have flower salads – who knew flowers could be so tasty?

This tour is like a mix of nature and foodie heaven. If you're up for a day of exploring caves and trying unique farm-to-table eats, give this tour a whirl.

Wear wet shoes/lightweight trainers, bring your go pro camera and bring some balls. This experience is NOT for the faint hearted or those with mobility issues. There are several falls and you can jump down all of them (if you’re brave enough). The longest jump was about 20-30ft, and We were given a friendly guide (Ryan), safety gears (helmet, life jacket and suitable footwear) and an experience we will not forget in a hurry. The whole experience took about 4 hours, and food were provided. Our guide was very friendly and looked after us very well. Our guide (Ryan) was more than happy to carry our possessions, and take photos/video records of our jumps/activities. We picked up a few bumps and bruises, hence the paperworks we had to sign at the beginning. This activity can be dangerous if you are not confident or you don’t pay attention. You can, however, choose not to complete any jump if you don’t want to, the guide will not force you to do anything you don’t want to do. This activity is a lot of fun and we are very happy to have taken part. Highly recommended!

Our Panglao tour was made easier and simpler because of this agency. They handled us very well, the driver assigned to us was very accommodating and we had a lot of laughing moments inside our vehicle. The places we went were properly guided. Thank you Rio Travel & Tour for the great service!
