What travelers are saying
- David RLondon, UK356 contributionsVery child and senior friendly place. Definitely a good place to visit on a rainy day, so keep that in mind. It isn't sunny every day here. I have visited many caves but this one with its concrete path was safer than most, despite all the safety warnings. come with swimming gear like we did and be pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the water down in this picturesque well-lit cavern. There are bats (they squeak and flitter around occasionally) in this cave with its stalactites and stalagmites. The roof looks stable and actively dripping with lime water. The swimming was refreshing but not too cold. The water was saline but mildly so. Back outside, the parking was easy and the souvenir shops good with plenty of colourful and topical tshirts and sweet snacks and drinks and street food stalls. One not so good aspect was the potholed access road, but for my pickup truck with all terrain tyres it was ok.Written June 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LUISA TMandaluyong, Philippines2 contributionsThe idea of getting out from the buzzling and crowded place in the city makes us feel of finding a santuary place to breath..leaving the tons of work and deadlines of school works made us visit PANGLAO particularly DUMALUAN BEACH... The place ia breathtaking specially in the morning where you can walk during low tide and just feel the fresh air...if you are willing to stay more this is a plus...sadly though we want to stay for another night to enjoy the beach we have to get off at 11am for other itineraries...like visiting other places...the accomodation are okey qe stay in one room good for 6 we just asked for 2 additional beds since they only have 2 doubled size bed...the food are buffet you can really practice eating like a king...and again they accept us even though we came late for accomodation...well of course we already paid for it though...all in all its a good place to stay...Written February 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RandB1805Cairns, Australia174 contributionsGreat place to go see. A little sand bar with a wooden sign. Go see get a photo. Nothing else to do here. A must do to say you have been for sure. We had 1 hour to spend here but only spent about 15mins.Written December 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul H29 contributionsIt’s such a shame to see a beautiful beach and town turned into a dump.
So surprised when we got here. Reviews and pictures certainly looked decent enough. However this place is awful. About time we checked out and went somewhere (anywhere) better than this.Written January 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We spent maybe an hour there and took a few photos (no flash)
The Tarsiers are funny little things and I would be surprised if they could survive nowadays without protection.
Worth a visit.
I imagine that kids would love them.Written September 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - CarlLeonora279 contributionsCalled one afternoon and enjoyed the few sleeping tarsier seen.
At one dollar entrance it's well worth an hour of your time...Written April 30, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But the beach was nice and clean. There was a lot of sea urchin and starfish tho so watch out.Written March 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeff CIndianapolis, IN278 contributionsWhile on scooters heading back to Alona Beach we stopped at this church. It is well worth a visit. They were decorating for a wedding but we still were allowed in to see. Very ornate for the location.Written January 16, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Milet MirandaManila, Philippines120 contributionsThis beach is gorgeous! However, it isn’t ideal for swimming due to the shallow water. This is away from the crowd and noise of Alona Beach so you will experience a quiet and relaxing stay.Written December 12, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrew John y FernandesPanglao Island, Philippines826 contributionsTiming is everything in this spot to have the low lying hills covered in clouds. A doable hike with peaks that aren't too tall. 25 pesos entrance fee.Written March 29, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maps118665749501 contributionThe view is great and the ambience is kinda chill. Adding of music background all over the place (mall) will make it much more vibrant and interesting for the tourist.Written January 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
