The beach is beautiful and clean. But you have to pay to enter, even if you are staying at a hotel nearby. It is annoying that you have to pay everywhere. For example, at the port we paid another 30 pesos on top of the ticket price. I don't know what for. This is one of the reasons why we won't go to the Philippines anymore.

We made a brief stop as part of our tour and it was very cool - literally. You need to contort a little to wriggle down, but, otherwise, not a great deal f energy required. Some people were swimming - which, shouldn’t be allowed to keep the water crystal clear. Unfortunately, a little murky either swimmers. Still, a nice stop.

Great place to go see. A little sand bar with a wooden sign. Go see get a photo. Nothing else to do here. A must do to say you have been for sure. We had 1 hour to spend here but only spent about 15mins.

Some parts of Alona Beach are very nice, but there is also some corrosion & repair works being done at this time. Nice but not great

Most of the day was low tide so we had to walk far before we were able to swim. But the beach was nice and clean. There was a lot of sea urchin and starfish tho so watch out.

This beach is gorgeous! However, it isn’t ideal for swimming due to the shallow water. This is away from the crowd and noise of Alona Beach so you will experience a quiet and relaxing stay.

Your visit is about 20-30 minute and you will see 3-4 of these cute little mammals tucked up in the trees. Pretty cool. A guide will lead you through the preserve, you can’t just wander on your own. Nice informative visitor center - this was my favorite stop on our Bohol tour.

Great spot for snorkeling, great to swim with sardines and the corals are great. Tons of Nemo Fishes :)
    But:
WAAAAY too much touristic, too many people, the fishes seem confused. Go very early or very late in the afternoon.
It closes at 17.00. We went at 15 30, after 4 pm we were almost alone.

Timing is everything in this spot to have the low lying hills covered in clouds. A doable hike with peaks that aren't too tall. 25 pesos entrance fee.

The view is great and the ambience is kinda chill. Adding of music background all over the place (mall) will make it much more vibrant and interesting for the tourist.

We had visited other churches on the main Bohol island, but this one is situated on the smaller Panglao island. Well worth a visit if you've a half-day to spare. It's not far from the resorts on Alona beach. Beautiful murals on the ceiling. Don't forget to look up while inside. Architecturally interesting if you, like me, like churches.

The grounds and town are very tranquil and not far from the water, where catamarans gather to take people out on trips. There's a watch tower on the grounds too, although we couldn't enter it. I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with the Parish Priest who was delighted to hear we were Irish. Please try to leave a donation.
