This is the most iconic place in Agartala. It was built in 1899-1901 by English engineer Mr. Martin. The structure is broadly in Victorian style but more glamour is added by the long front garden designed in Mughal style. It serves now as a museum of historical importance not only the life and times of Tripura but also on some North eastern states of India. Of course, there is entry fee.

Good place to seek Gods blessings, this place is quite nicely maintained as all other ISKCON temples are but yes it is just not a big temple. We anyway require a peaceful place to pray and seek the almighty s blessings.

Fourteen Goddess Temple is in Old Agartala and is primarily frequented by Tribals of the area. The temple is built by Maharaja Krishna Manikya. We saw animal sacrifice being performed at this temple. No offence to the beliefs of the people who perform such sacrifice but if you are one of those types who find the same not acceptable than the same can be avoided.

How rarely you feel "I am an Indian". Only at the Land Border Crossings. Highly Disciplined and hardened BSF personnel lower the Indian Flag with decorum and poise. Jai Hind!

The Haveli museum is located just next to the temple. The Haveli Museum is the old palace of Agartala. This is converted to museum and useful to know the history of princely state of Tripura. We learnt how the once bigger state became one of the smallest states now, along with the history of India-Pakistan-Bangladesh war. They also have lots of information on rivers, culture, fauna and flora of Tripura. Definitely, useful time spent. The entry fee is Rs.10 per person. We spent around 20-25 minutes in this museum.
