- Christopholascrested butte, colorado44 contributionsWe absolutely loved this place! The staff and grounds were lovely, and they could not have been more accommodating. I highly recommend visiting for a tasting!Written March 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SusanaLXTPETaipei, Taiwan13 contributionsApart from the fact that staff seems unapproachable and smug at times (we were made feel we were trespassing when we got there and for some reason asked to check-in at the store (?), not at the hotel reception), this is still an amazing and beautiful hotel, and most staff are super nice and helpful.
We stayed in a bungalow in the Eira house (new and beautiful - bedroom and toilet on the ground floor and lounge area/ office on the first floor), which was challenging - if you forget something in the bedroom, you’ll have to climb your way to the top to get it. With small kids, that might be extra challenging. There are parking spaces very close to it and the pool is just bellow.
Dinner was very nice - I went with the Premium wines, and the ‘vinhas velhas’ was particularly wonderful!
They are having a big wasp issue and thats why you’ll find a lot of dishes with HAM (they are carnivores) scattered around the dinner/breakfast area. I’m not sure if that won’t prove to the counterproductive in time. They will call them bees, but really they’re wasps (bees are different and will go for the flowers instead!).Written July 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The headset tour through the vineyard was unique and informative, and the wines were spectacular, surpassing all others we tasted in the valley. Enjoying the wines with paired charcuterie was a nice touch as well. We learned so much about the Douro Valley and the history of Gueda winery. Luis, you are an amazing winemaker and host with a very bright future. Thank you for welcoming us!Written October 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Hans AGumusluk, Türkiye130 contributionsWe looked on Sunday afternoon for a wine tasting and by accident we found this wine shop Vieira de Sousa in the side valley. Wine tasting prices are OK.
We had before some less good experience of overpriced wine, of course good tawny port but more or less the same.
This time very good wine at reasonable prices. They showed good character and nice body. The lady who was serving was very knowledgeable, could answer all questions and just showed us the special things about wine from Portugal.
It was a very nice experience with her exploring the specialties of this winery which I can recommend to visit!Written October 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The tour was about production, storage and finally testing!
Our guide talked in perfect English and knows a lot
Would absolutely recommend it and we were so happy to see this small and young wineryWritten May 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
