We went to Madamba for a tibao.
We were served biaring - a maranao shrimp delicacy, bakas in turmeric soup, and the delicious marang fruit.
We passes by the Beautiful Madamba Masjid ( Green Dome ).
The Madamba River is flowing full running to its downstream pouring into the beautiful Lake Lanao.

A masjid in MSU Main Commercial Center.
A walk distance or less than 100 meter away from COMCEN, almost beside the Oval Building.
The masjid is clean and beautiful.
While in MSU Comcen, we took dhuhr and ashr prayers there- very convenient location.

Marawi City in Lanao del Sur is a city where majority of the population are Maranaos (meaning people of the lake). They are one of the muslim Filipino tribes in Mindanao.

I hate to say this, but of all the cities I have been in the Philippines (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao), Marawi is one of the less maintained in terms of ecological solid waste management.

Nevertheless, a seat of the Prelature of St. Mary in Marawi is the midst in the city. There are Christians living in the city and the cathedral with is titular of Mary, Help of Christians. Feast day is May 24. This was erected through the initiative of late Bp. Bienvenido Tudtud, a man of interreligious dialogue.

When in Marawi, don't forget to drop by on the cathedral and pray.
