Muko Shrine is located not far from Hankyu Nishimuko station. I dropped in on the way to Yoshimine-dera Temple. This shrine was founded in Nara Period and has about 1300 years’ history. The long pathway leading to the main building is spiritual and refreshing. It is said that the season of cherry blossoms is especially beautiful.

Takenomichi is a street which starts beside Kaisei Hospital and reaches Chikurin Park by passing through a bamboo forest. It is actually not a pedestrian street, but it is fit to take a walk. Unlike Bamboo Forest in Sagano, this area is not crowded, and you can enjoy a very pleasant walking.

It is an ancient tomb beside Mozume Kaido route. If you are interested in archeology, it is maybe worth taking a look. But it is a little bit far from the nearest Hankyu station. There are several explanation panels at the site, but you cannot climb the burial mound.
