Named after the birthplace of St. Dominic de Guzman in Spain, Caleruega is great for retreats, recollections, renewal, and other spiritual exercises. The whole place is immersed in Nature and supports the idea "close to Nature, closer to God". Among the places you can visit, there's the Transfiguration Chapel (which is a favorite venue for wedding), the Tent Chapel, a hanging bridge, koi ponds surrounded by lush gardens and bridges, an Eco Teatro, the so-called "Dominican Steps", an old Dominical friary (now a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Manaog near the parking lot), etc.

The road leading to Caleruega from the main road (Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway) is in a bad state. It's rough and full of potholes. Once you reach the main entrance, you'll have to pay Php 30 per head for a maintenance fee and Php 40 for the parking fee.

It was quite an adventure climbing Mount Batulao. Unfortunately, the trail is bare. We noticed very few trees along the trail leading up to the summit. It was very hot. The trail is very narrow with no barriers on either side for protection and can be slippery. You can run the risk of falling off the cliff if you are not careful. So, always exercise caution, ask questions and listen to your tour guide.
At the base of the summit you need to scale/rappel the final portion of the trail using a rope. It took us approximately 6-7 hours to get to the summit from the jump off point and back.

My friend ask me if I wanna go hiking with him to Nasugbu, Batangas. This was my first hiking experience, so this is my mother mountain.

Try their local halo halo once you get to the summit.

Our family book day trip to the island. If you have a family party of more than 5 people, it is preferable to book a day before your trip to guarantee a spot on the boat.

The waves are rough but my family are still game for swimming and snorkeling.

From the beach, a little hike will take you to the Greek ruins. The island was definitely a great site for photos and they have a nice breathtaking view of the ocean.

We were lucky that we almost had the island to ourselves.

Kaybiang Tunnel is very popular to all riders if you pass and drive through here, you need to stop for a while and take pictures.

my title said it all..went for an ocular visit and left disappointed
had to enter via an ongoing construction site
'cottages' were all done using native material
maybe just go there for a day trip during week days and bring everything that you'll need for the day as entrance to the beach is free (public beach)
overnight cottages there ranged at P7000 with 2 beds and roll away mattresses; in short just head on to another cove and forget about this one if you want to stay overnight..really! as in!!! realllyyyyy!!

I just don't feel the rooms! It was really big but I don't like the vibe! The food is not that good! I mean we tried everything but it did not pass to ur taste! My kids are pretty picky too that eat only eggs for 3 days stay :(.

My kids enjoyed the play area before we check out and they did enjoy that one!
The pool is great though! The kids enjoyed them and the beach is really calm that we did not care to stay the whole day! literally!
