Rottweil is a lovely town but the "Schwarze Tor" is a bit boring. Nice walk through historic city center though.

Rottweil is a lovely little town. The oldest town in the Black Forest, it has a nice pedestrian zone with cute but not-too-touristy shops and good cafes. The Schwarze Tor is similar to the old tower gates you find in other towns, like Villingen, but...More

This tower is at the end of the main street. It's well preserved and beautiful. The views into the valley are gorgeous. Plenty of little shops and cafes if needed.

Hauptstrasse doesn't have more than 500 meters long, but it is really a beautiful and almost a fantasy place. The rottweiler statues in front of many stores (all of them with a cute handkerchief on their necks) and the Schwarze Tor at the end of...More

It's a nice old building and I'm not sure if you can go inside it but if you want a great view then there's a much highly tower a 2 minute walk away from this one.

The old tower at the top of the old High Street. The clock can be seen from afar, and this is the meeting place that everyone uses, including the Narren at Fasnacht.
