Our guides name was “T”. I think it stands for TERRIFIC! He was so awesome and incredibly knowledgeable about everything Hawaii. He gave us some great recommendations for our visit too. The chocolate was delicious and the explanation of how it’s made was insightful. I would highly recommend this tour!

The views are imprinted on my soul. Such a beautiful place. The snorkelling was amazing. The road to Hana lush and Haleakala Crater out-of-this-world!

We had an epic time hiking the rain forest, viewing waterfalls, learning about the land and history, and jumping off cliffs.

Our perfect guide, Ran, was so friendly and kind! We felt safe, adventurous, respectful of the land, and the views were beautiful. Our 8 year old loved all the hiking, the waterfalls, and learning about the rain forest, the state fish and Ran had an answer for all his (many) questions. She gave the best advice I’ve ever received for cliff jumping for safety and form, gave me enough confidence to jump! The swim was well worth it.

We learned so much with all of Ran’s vast knowledge of her home island and we felt welcomed and honored to learn and spend time with her hiking the beautiful rain forest. Finding local grown nuts and the fruit trees was spectacular. We even learned a bit about the farming cycle of banana and passion fruit. Rich soil is a far cry from our Cali soil!! We would not change a thing and agree that Maui speaks to the heart shakra. Thank you for taking us in for the day, spending time with us, and really showing us a piece of Maui we would find anywhere else. Greyson had said he WILL be back and he rated Mama’s Fish House as the best restaurant ever in his life, thank you for that recommendation Ran!! 🫶🏼

Beautiful, short walk through the garden with lots of talk about Hawaiian plants, flowers and culture. Chocolate tasting at the end was fun too. It is right at the start of the Road to Hana so you can drive all or part of that afterwards. There are also lots of other waterfalls they can direct you to.

Jiva was a great tour guide. Funny. Engaging. Informative. Made the experience really wonderful. A good way to spend a few hours away from the typical tourist destinations.

A very leisurely paced hike with a very informative guide. He educated us about a lot of local fauna. After the hike and waterfall viewing, the chocolate tasting was very enjoyable.

Apparently I can only leave a review if I made the booking through Viator.

‘My wife and I visited The Kings Gardens on a referral from a local friend. As a ‘wildcrafter’ I was overjoyed to learn so much about the food, medicines and flora/ fauna that was to be found there; so much knowledge.

The fresh made chocolate and teachings spoiled us, no more lesser substances for me from now on .. Mahalo. ‘

If you want to donate your money as a priority then, okay. Otherwise very overpriced. However the waterfall you see from the distance you can see better ones on the road to the black sand beach. and almost all the vegetation. This is a short 40 minutes walk very very controlled by the guide inside a preserve garden. The guide was super controlling. I was 20 seconds behind the next person in line (taking a picture), and he recriminated me that this was not a private tour! This tout was not the wild hiking I was expecting. The guide does not take his eyes off everyone like a commandant. It was so weird to feel such a control of every step you make. The chocolate with coconut oil taste bad and the other pieces of chocolate were only okay. It was not worth the money for me. Thanks.

Jiva was so awesome as a guide! He made us laugh as we walked through the Jurassic Park type jungle. My husband and I enjoyed every moment of this tour, we learned so much and tried the tastiest chocolate, what else could we ask for?
