A small museum arranged in a complex that also includes a restaurant and (I'm not sure) some accommodation, located in the middle of the wilderness. It offers interesting information about the flora, fauna, geological structure of the Dead Sea area. A separate chapter is dedicated to the dramatic drop in the water level of the Dead Sea.
You need 30-40 minutes to visit it.

Not too bad given the unexpected location. This museum is in a touristic complex with a restaurant. It’s pretty standard but offers some informative sections. If you don’t like it just enjoy the breathtaking view over the Dead Sea, it justifies the modest entry price alone..

This place offers stunning views over the Dead Sea. Actually the best spot along its shoreline. Restaurant is a bit cheesy. I heard middle of the road western music all the time (e.g. Bandolero). Staff was clumsy in a charming and friendly way.
Can be quite hot and there was a fly invasion going on when I was there.
Not cheap, but nothing is in this 100% tourist-focussed area. Coming from the north this is your last chance for a refreshment along the Dead Sea (incredible but true)

There was not much to see at the museum. We believe the tour guide brought us there for the restaurant. Beautiful view and lunch was good but we were pretty much stuck there and had to pay for lunch or sit in the bus. Unless you are there to eat at the restaurant it's a waste of time.

Beautiful view like everyone said. The museum is a little outdated. Wish they had some up to date info on the state of the Dead Sea which is dire.
There are some some gift items in the side made by refugees which I wanted to buy to support the cause. No one I talked to there could sell me anything. It got a bit frustrating.
The restaurant is good. Staff was pleasant.
TIP: I came here in an Uber. It was 5JD. There’s no uber service up here. So the uber driver offered me 30JD to wait two hr for me and drive me down. I negotiated him down to 15JD. Still feel ripped off. Do negotiate with your driver for round trip BEFORE you get in the car.

There are 4 sections in the museum. Origins of the Dead Sea area, ecology of the area, conservation of the Dead Sea, and archeology of the area.
You can trace the origins of the different peoples who inhabited the area through time.

Definitely the best panoramic view of the dead sea. Come for sunset and relax with some food and alcohol (beer, cocktails). Closes at 9pm.

The Dead Sea Panoramic Complex/Dead Sea Museum is a new complex of regional museum about the Dead Sea, panorama lookout, restaurant and conference hall on a steep cliff high above the Dead Sea near Hammamet Ma'in it is accessible from both the Dead Sea and Madaba by car. The museum is run by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, and has some fascinating information about the geology, ecology (animal and plant), archaeology, history and industry of the Dead Sea and surrounding area. It has also information about the environmental problem concerning the Dead Sea, such as decreasing of the Dead Sea water level and sinkhole in the Dead Sea coast. As the name suggests it has a magnificent view of the Dead Sea and the hills beyond it. Watching the sunset from here is a wonderful experience.

After my third year visiting the dead Sea, I finally visited the panoramic complex. The view is amazing. The museum has some very interesting information about the region and the Dead Sea itself. In the museum area at your treated to a thought provoking overview of the problems the dead Sea faces due to freshwater shortages.
Very affordable. One JD for tourists and free for locals.
Nice looking restaurant attached which is a great place to grab a cup of coffee or a cold beverage.
Only complaint: the complex seems a bit void of officials. Once you enter the main gate, you don't see another employee outside of the restaurant. Having someone around to answer questions and mind the exhibits would be helpful.
Very easy to find. Highway leading up from the dead see is ultra modern, wide and provides a beautiful view.

Just back from the Dead Sea Panorama Complex. What a fun day trip from Amman or the Dead Sea resorts. We were warmly welcomed. There is plenty of shaded parking. Enjoyed learning about the region's geology, geography, flora and fauna and human culture in the beautiful museum designed in local stone by Architect Ammar Khammash. Had a delicious mezze lunch at the air-conditioned resaurant overlooking the Dead Sea. Will go at sunset another time to enjoy a grilled kebob dinner and sit with tea under the bedouin tent. Beautiful place and well run with authentic Jordanian hospitality.
