Nahulugan Falls is located at the town of Gigmoto province of Catanduanes in Philippines. This falls is awesome, tell what it's water is so cold and shining as if crystal clear. It's untouched virgin beauty attract you like you always want to stay on water. Also its so accessible even when your on it you feel like your in the middle of the mountainous island.

The place is beautiful. Free entrance. Trashes at some corners. Excurtionists seem not to care abt keeping their trashes in place. Great place to hang out with friends though.

From my accommodation sa Baras, in-offer ako na mag-habal habal to the tune of 700 pesos papuntang Gigmoto at paikot mg Baras. Nag-dalawang isip ako kasi mukhang mahal ang tour na yun. Pero dahil sa within budget threshold pa ako, I make patol the offer.

Walang entrance fee dito. May tatlong tier ng waterfalls dito. May kalaliman yung ibang parts ng falls kaya nakuntento na lang ako sa pinakababang tier. At ang lamig ng tubig.

Sarap mag-muni muni lalo na't nasolo ko yung falls.

I visited the fall during weekdays and there is no entrance. But during weekend there is probably a entrance for each person. The water is cold, refreshing and clean. There is a person maintaining the cleanliness of the area. There is a drinking area which is so refreshing. It is a natural spring water and safe to drink. It is quite far but worth it.

July 30, 2016. It was at the height of Signal #1 when we visited Nahulugan Falls in G(H)igmoto. It was an hour drive from Puraran. We traversed through several mountain ranges and into several coastal towns on the eastern side of Catanduanes. The last 15mins ride from the small town of Gigmoto and down to the rainforest became rough. It was at the end of the dirt road and after a small clearing that we heard and saw the gushing water of the falls. It was so naturally cool & refreshing.
Small flight of steps led us down to the waterway and up to the mother falls. We took a short dip but was cautious likewise for probable flash floods from the mountain.
There were several picnic huts, male & female restrooms with changing areas before the descent. The water taps however were not functioning. We had a good lunch while marveling at the beauty of the soft rainfall in the surrounding rainforest and the feel of cool crisp mountain air. Ideal for nature lovers.

It has been raining when we went to Nahulugan, I understadn why the water is not clear but the place is not well maintained. There is a lot of trash all over the place, if you have limited time in Catanduanes I would not recomment going here. We stayed in Puraran and it took us around 45 minutes to get here (20 minutes of rough ride)

Went there with a group of friends and relatives. Simple cottages were built and easier to cross the water. Ladders or stairs are easier to utilize to get on the higher level of the falls. It used to be harder to get up on top. Now even people with difficulties can manage. Thanks to everyone who maintain the place. It is indeed a good place to visit. A must to go to while in Gigmoto Catanduanes. Don't miss it. It is so natural. The waters are clear and cool. The sound of the falls is so relaxing.
