Thanks for your kind review! If you visited on saturday, there was indeed a special "interreligious" celebration together with our moslim friends, with special security ensured, hence the fact that some parts weren't accessible!
This is a massive basilica and I highly recommend visiting. We walked from the old town, only 30 minutes. The outside is impressing, but the inside is amazing. Take your time and wander about, take in the architecture and beautiful windows.
This is a relatively modern church, but it it's the 5th largest in the world. Impressive interior and well worth taking the lift to the top. Brussels doesn't have much of a skyline but you get a sense of the scale of the building. Really...More
