Neighborhood: Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.

Proof that photos on Instagram have nothing to do with the real life. Although view is fascinating, we didn't even dare to enter to the pool. Seemed very run down and dirty.

As we finished our walk we came past the pool and thought we might as well give it a try given it is such an iconic place. A little bit expensive for the hour or so we spent there, BUT would do it again.

Very friendly staff and the pool was great to swim in. Lots of people doing laps, but plenty of room for more.

You get a great view from in the pool of the waves breaking at the southern end of Bondi Beach.

Didn't try any food, but was good to be able to hire a nice towel for $4.

This was part of our family Christmas present - lunch at Icebergs. It did not disappoint. We started with the meat /pickle / olive plate, the blood sausage was delicious. I had the pork chop, husband had trevally, kids had lamb and moreton bay bug pasta. All were sensational, however I thought the pork and lamb were the better dishes. Peas on the side are a must. Dessert - kids had mousse and gelato. We had the frothy vodka aperitif. Yum! Service was excellent and the entire experience was wonderful. Worth every cent!

While doing the coastal walk, you will pass by this place. It does require an entrance fees to swim but you can also walk pass it and take a look see.

Terrible service. Food as well.
Waiters and bartenders are don’t care customers and very unhappy receptionist is working front of house. She doesn’t care someone who don’t understand English.
I saw that she kept said Asian elderly people to sign that old scanning system.
Why don’t you give them little smile and speak slowly. Young lady.
Very not good experience.

Came in for a glass or two of wine after a good walk. Prices are a bit steep but you would expect that. Music was irritating (monotonous electronic guff). Staff are pleasant and attentive but obviously incentivised or under pressure to up-sell. Not quite the experience I had hoped for.

We took a city bus from Circular Quay to get there. For our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) it cost us around $40US (we had to buy local bus cards that require a minimum deposit on them, so be aware). From my research I didn’t find any other way to get to Bondi, except for a Tour Double Decker bus or a taxi of course. But it was nice, we got to see Sydney from a city bus as well, like an extra tour. Anyway, the club wasn’t packed (we went during the week and not during the holidays). For 4 of us admission was about $16US, if I am not mistaken. Prior to going to the club I emailed them to see if kids can swim there. I was told yes as long as they have necessary skills. But no one tested our kids prior to going into the water anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️ which was fine, of course. They do provide towels (for a fee, if you don’t want to drag yours from a hotel). Showers are there, restrooms. We went to Bondi Beach after the club and I wish we had it done vise versa, Beach first, then the club. Because we wanted to shower and clean up after the beach but it was very challenging to do so with young kids. So, go to the beach first, then to the club. There you can use the shower facilities. We went last week of November and the water was insanely cold (even that the air temperature was around 30C). I mean crazy cold, I did one lap hoping to warm up towards the end of it, but no. Was still shivering so I got out. My son though (6 years) swam in the pool for about an hour, but perhaps he was more energetic than I was. In my opinion the club is worth visiting in conjunction with the beach. There are no lounge chairs at the pool (I don’t know about the members and the private areas at the club), so be prepared to sit/lay on the ground

Icebergs is one of Sydney’s most iconic scenic locations. It’s got views of the whole bondi beach and is seriously amazing. The pool is really good to swim in
