12 lei for entrance. Nice place to walk around. They have small exhibition places. Souvenir shops are inside. Enjoyed a lot inside of fortress. It would be good to be their with kids, bringing some snacks. I strongly recommend here than bran castle.

Nice place to spend a couple of hours. The entrance fee is 12 Ron per person. You can get there on foot or by tram. The place is quite crowded and full of shops. It offers a beautiful view of the city.

There is a transfer up and down to the fortress so no need to walk but you do have to pay for this (2 lei I think, so not expensive). The castle is more of a ruin but many parts are still intact though have...More

We visited Rasnov citadel from Brasov, an easy drive. There is parking at the base, with several snack stands. For RON 5, you can take a round-trip tractor ride up the hill. It's also a relatively easy walk on a paved road. There is a...More

Visited here yesterday and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The views are amazing and worth the trip to the top. You can walk but there is also a tractor trailer to take you up. Throughout the citadel there are little shops which is lovely.

This was once a fortress way back then, I was told. I can't contain my overhwelming amazement as I was walking towards the gate all the way up! You can see how the old walls were crumbling.... that's why there were areas that were fenced...More

A nice stop over to visit with great views. It's good value for money. I would recommend take cart (pulled by a tractor) up to the fort.

Even though it rained a lot, it was worth the visit. It is a wonderful place. The most impressive place is Gheroghe Samoilă's little place where he has big collection of all sorts if things (old photo camera, ski equipment, coins etc.). You can sign...More

To get to the fortress, you'll get to ride a tractor from the parking lot... which was so much fun! The fortress ruins were very fun to explore, and it provided nice views of the surrounding area as well. It got pretty hot in the...More

I would get in touch with the citadel direct via the website. Personally I would thank him by signing his virtues on the best travel website TripAdvisor.
