We Stayed at the Hotel ciutat Del Prat right across the street this February. Went out and met the owner and his wife while having a beer and watching a soccer game with the locals. I forgot the owners name but he was great host. He recommended a trip to Montserrat and was right on the money. It was awesome trip about an hour each way from Plaza Espanya to a monastery in the beautiful mountains with snow capped peak views. Allow about a total of 4 hours at least to do the round trip and tour of area it was worth it. We returned from this trip and had some tapas and a bottle of wine he only charged us 14 euros. He provided a plate and cheese cutter so we can eat the goat cheese we bought at the farmers market at the monastery. We had Breakfast there every morning and saved lots of euros compared to hotel. We had bacon, eggs, french fries and coffee each well made.
