Nice black sand beach south of raglan. You better need a car to go there. Showers, water fountain and basic toilets. Good surf beach. Lefts work better than right-hands. Good for beginners.

Raglan is known for its surf beaches, and this one didn't disappoint; we saw plenty of intrepid surfers. It was a chilly autumn day but we noted that it's also a swimming beach, and the Raglan Surf Lifesaving club is based there.
