We were short on time so walked as far as time permitted. The walk itself was lovely, we only made it as far as the first bridge though. If you have the time go all the way. Our pic of the water fall is taken...More

This trip is well worth the effort whether to the base or the top. There is a certain degree of fitness required but the experience is well worth the effort, and the overall track is well marked, but good footwear is required as the boulders...More

We took this walk on a calm day with some cloud. It took a little longer than 45 mins to halfway, but plenty of photo ops on the way. The viewing platform was a little crowded being school hols/weekend. Sturdy walking/tramping shoes required. A fantastic...More

Fairly easy walk with great views. All the way to the top and back easily within 3 hours (walking slow and taking lots of breaks).

This will not be a quick stop – it’s a workout. The waterfall is visible from the main road, but its actually set back a ways, so the trail to get there is long. It will take you about 45 minutes to get to a...More

The road to the car park is easy. Its a straight shoot there from Matamata. You could walk to it, but that would take some time.

We really enjoyed Opal Hot Springs camping area, it's not too far from the falls. The falls were amazing, definitely go to the very top if you can, the views are spectacular :)
