This is the central point of Mexico, at list that was though when this monument was raised. There is nice church below the monument and the view from there is amazing.

It is located on geographic center of Mexico on top of "El Cubilete" Hill 2600 meters over sea level. It was built during "La Cristiada" when catholic people was persecuted by Mexican Government just because of their believes.

Interesting experience. On a clear day you get a great view of the area. Access is via a dirt-track, several miles uphill, but kept in ok shape.

The drive was great. The entire road was cobble stone. Impressive to see. It's worth the sites. The "chapel" Was absolutely amazing. The crown of thorns and the crown in the dome was just something to see. Worth the drive.
